Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and sun is up over brackley this morning.
Yesterday, I had a call from the Hospital as to Monday which again will mean a ear;y start for me wish an admission time of 7 .
Unsure as to Sunday food wise , strictly a liquid diet , but was told I could eat up to midnight the day before , still unsure? as to what I will do .
Seems to me as though they have no set down pre op day before surgery food intake procedure .
Any way have stopped taking aspirin type related medication.
Take Care,
Mick

Good afternoon everyone.

Pittcity, Milwaukee brings back happy memories, one was visiting the HarleyDavidson museum and another was a delicious corned beef hash breakfast.

👒🌞

I use Allevia, which I buy in Savers under the name of Treathay.

Good morning from sunny Wisconsin. We crossed a timeline on the way to our cousin's home just outside Milwaukee, so I'm writing this at 6.50am.
Last night we went to the High school graduation of one of their DGD and it was an experience. Today is going to be around 27° so I think the family is coming here.
Love to all 🦩 x

Thank you for the advice, grandMattie
and Marydoll. I heard the vaseline tip on the radio yesterday, so have tried that today. Will ask in Boots about the Allevia

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. Another hot day with a thunderstorm warning still in place

Nothing much planned for today, my foot was very sore yesterday evening so I may have overdone the walking this week. It feels a lot better this morning but a bit of rest may be in order this afternoon.

Safe journey to any travellers and healing thoughts to any poorlies.

Have a good day all 🌻🌻🌻

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside (every day) northwest coast.
Nice company at art yesterday, although one regular is going through chemo etc for ovarian cancer and having a rough time.
I then had lunch in the cafe in our biggest park. Disappointing even though I didn’t expect much. Chicken bites with very thin chips on a paper plate and wooden cutlery…
A little spate of summer clothes shopping and home. I fancy having brown legs now, but am not so keen on sitting in the sun for long periods, so fake tan, here I come!
Thoughts to all with troubles, as always.

Good Morning all from Sunny Harrogate. My iPhone wouldn't let me on Gransnet this morning without confirming what I wanted on every page, then didn't know my password (which it saves) quite frustrating! Think I'd be concerned as well Taichi about a GC driving that distance. Glad you've got you DH Back Brook. We used to have a tv that switched itself back on at night - gave us many a scare when we got to bed and would suddenly hear voices!
Lucky you being in Bath, Ginny lovely city.
Yesterday went by train to Leeds to take my phone to the Apple Store for battery troubles - not password troubles -. On the way back we were stopped for about 20 in the middle of nowhere, when the announcement came, the electrics on the train weren't working. The conductor had a key which she had to use to open one door to let people in and out. The train was supposed to stop at York, but ended its journey at Harrogate - Phew! I went to M&S to do some shopping and DH went home with their pillow I'd bought from. JL - a bit strange getting used to it last night!
Sorry you are so pooped Marydoll~ hope you feel better tomorrow.
Have the best day possible folks.

Good Morning all it’s warm and sultry here in Co Armagh, not a breeze ,
I’ve opened the greenhouse , the sun doesn’t hit it till after 10 so it has only got up to 32 . I’m trying to not overwater things but a couple of seedlings don’t look great
I haven’t read the thread yes , but best wishes to all
Yes Michael eat normally today , liquids tomorrow, that can include clear soup , no bits in it

Good morning from a brighter NE, forecast to be 20 degrees.
Lunch with my friend was good and we got caught up on all the family news.
GD2 is singing at a musical concert in the grounds of her school, it is a take your own picnic afternoon. I am assuming they will be coming here for dinner after.
Sister and BIL will visit this afternoon, haven't seen them for three weeks because of holidays.
I was wondering if you were being placed on the enhanced recovery programme for your operation Mick ? I was given protein drinks which I took for several days before the op, it really did help with recovery because post op you will not be eating a normal diet. They often give you these drinks after the op and it is important you take them as they contain all the vitamins and minerals your body requires to recover.
Have a good weekend.

Good morning from Durham - almost blue sky and a promise of 23 degrees. After a week of cool, grey and barely 16, it’s very welcome.
DD2 might come later with DGS2. She returned from Edinburgh yesterday with a full blown cold, so she can rest while I chase after the little one.
Best wishes for the weekend. X

Good Morning from a sunny S. Yorks. The weather is supposed include one hour of rain then sun again but even if it arrives I\ll still need to water.

Yesterday was mostly spent sorting out a new recon computer and a gym visit, so today is pottering and resting, except I have to go out to the chemist for meds, no doubt a long queue as ever.

Best days possible poorlies, and may cuttings and family events go well.

GrannySomerset Sat 10-Jun-23 08:54:37

May walk to the village for a paper but don’t really need anything so may not bother and simply potter and read indoors as I, like so many, suffer from late onset hay fever. A real nuisance but not something to dwell on.

And at least there is time to contemplate the shameful goings on in Westminster and Washington!

Grandmachrisy47 Sat 10-Jun-23 08:47:52

Good morning from a bright Co Durham.
I’ve been up since half five, so have caught up with 2 episodes of The Archers omnibus ready for tomorrow’s episode. I normally listen while peddling on my exercise bike, but missed the last 2 due to looking after dgd. Not her thing at eight years old.
I’m ready to go back to sleep now 😂 but must put some washing in the machine and make the most of the promised heat today.
Take care one and all.

Gymstagran Sat 10-Jun-23 08:26:20

Good Morning all from the already hot west midlands. A day inside for me as I'm another suffering from the very high pollen count. I will catch up on the ironing. BlueSapphire enjoy your lunch and day out. I should plan to do something like that when I have an empty weekend. Hope everyone finds something to enjoy.

Good morning from a sunny WKent. House day today and hopefully a read in the garden this afternoon. I received the letter to go for my speed awareness test, so something else to worry about.
All the best

monk08 Sat 10-Jun-23 08:11:38

Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Have been out and watered my pots before it gets to hot.
No plans today other than a trip to aldi I want another couple of lights for the garden.
Haven't read through yet but I can see some lovely photos on here already. Will catch up with everybody's happenings later usual full English is calling.
Enjoy your day whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Taichinan Sat 10-Jun-23 08:10:34

grammaretto thank you! Actually the sun did emerge a wee while ago, but it was over - quite literally - in the blink of an eye. But I have had a walk round the garden and it's beautiful out there! Who needs sun.

baubles Sat 10-Jun-23 08:02:46

Good morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire.

I didn’t know until we arrived at DS’s yesterday that there was a school fair which started at noon. As a veteran of many primary school fairs I’d have been better prepared, with containers for baking purchases and a bag for life for the inevitable must haves from the toy stall. Anyhoo the children enjoyed it and at least they didn’t buy back their own toys.

Good to hear that your DH is doing well Brook.

I must rush as I need to be at work early before the roads are closed for gala day.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Marydoll Sat 10-Jun-23 08:02:20

I meant to say, that for those who are struggling from hay fever.

I have a repeat prescription for Fenofexadine, which can now be purchased over the counter under the brand name Allevia.
I needed something which didn't contraindicate with my other meds. My GP said it was the most effective on the market. My hay-fever over the last year has definitely not been as severe as in previous years.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 10-Jun-23 08:00:35

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m having a bit of a lie in having got up at the crack of dawn the last two mornings. OH will visit his bees, which he now does every Saturday. He ordered a new laptop yesterday which we’ll collect from John Lewis today. Also, another pan… and take one back. The measurements on the website were wrong so the pan I collected yesterday was too small. I still have bits of WI admin to do - it seems never ending. A nearby village is having an Arts Weekend, which I’d love to go to. Maybe tomorrow when we’ve finished buying a tree! Have a lovely day. I’ve always found that a sunny, blue sky day helps any mood.

Ali23 Sat 10-Jun-23 08:00:06

Good morning Mick and all from Leicester. We are promised lots of sun today I think.

Mick, I agree with the others. This would be my plan…
Eat today until midnight
Fluids only tomorrow until midnight
Don’t have anything until you get there at 7am on Monday then they will guide you.
You’re nearly there Mick!

We’re out for a walk this morning tgen off to a civil wedding ceremony in the city museum this afternoon.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Liberty Sat 10-Jun-23 07:53:12

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk with a slight breeze, which I hope will last.

It is what is now called the country market, previously farmers’ market in our nearest market town so plan to be there when it opens at 9am and then that’s me finished for the day apart from finding a cool spot with a book.

I hope those on the move today have easy journeys and all enjoy warmth and a pleasant day.

Susan56 Sat 10-Jun-23 07:52:59

Good morning from another sunny day in Shropshire.

Thunderstorms are forecast for later.Rain will be welcome as the grass is scorched and the water butts are empty.

Today we will finish packing for our week away.

I’m glad all went well Brook and hope the patient isn’t too demanding!

Mary, I’m sorry you’re struggling.I hope a couple of restful days will help💐

Have the best day you can everyone🦩🌺
