Good morning from rainy Wisconsin. It's not yet 8am here. Yesterday was 27° and sunny so we went to a lakeside State Park. Today it's 14° max and rainy.
Our cousins have an eagles nest in their garden which we watched yesterday.

The makeup demonstration that I took part in for GN years ago keeps popping up. I look nothing like that now....scary!
Have a good afternoon and love to all.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 11-Jun-23 11:38:21

I hope all goes well for you tomorrow Mick

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning from an overcast south coast. It’s very humid. I hope we get some rain but not the torrential sort that will just bounce off the parched ground.

Having a battle with bindweed - hope to at least, scare it 😬

Mick, best wishes for your op.

Good morning from S Lanarkshire, wet but muggy here, I think it may brighten up later.

Good luck for tomorrow Mick, I hope it marks a step forward for you, it’s been a while since you’ve been in top form.

I’ve been really busy recently, two youngest grandchildren involved in Lanimer procession and then in the concert (Queen’s Reception!) the next night. Mum, dad and children were staying with me from Wednesday till Saturday and while I loved having them here, the peace today is quite nice.
Shy DGD sang a solo in the concert and did well and dancing GS just loved it all.

Today I’m off to church and then getting packed for a wee holiday up near Oban with DD3 and family and the sun is predicted to return so that should be really nice. SiL is picking me up tomorrow morning and I’m looking forward to seeing all of them

Hope things improve for you Marydoll and you too Grandmabatty, you’ve been struggling lately, I hope you feel better soon

Wishing everyone the best of days.

brook2704 Sun 11-Jun-23 09:40:47

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve some light rain that the garden is very happy with and saves me wandering around with the watering can
Hoping all goes well tomorrow Mick I’ll be thinking of you
Sorry to hear you’ve had such a bad night marydoll, look after yourself and take it easy
Today I need to go to Tesco for a few things and then drop some things off at DD2s. I’ll be leaving DH here settled on the sofa with the remote control - I might be a while …. 🤣
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all from sunn*y Harrogate, it is getting hot here!
Good Luck tomorrow MickHope it goes well. Yes, I would be lost without the foot pedal for my sewing machine, GrandMattie. The machine is always at the ready for any repairs needed. I still have en't worked out why I suddenly can't get GN on my iPhone. Think it's something to do with the cookies (not the chocolate variety). DD2 flew off to Croatia yesterday for a holiday where she is meeting two school friends, one who lives in London and the other in USA! This means today, Tuesday and Thursday I have to go to her house to feed her budgies, then on Wednesday I have to puppy sit DD1's newest edition to her family, A very small golden retriever puppy

Have the best day possible folks!

Good morning from a rapidly warming W Kent. Busier day than expected yesterday, friend invited us to pop in and view her building work and then on the way to the garden centre DD invited us in to view her building works. Today should be free of building sites with a roast lamb lunch and reading in the garden.
Best wishes for tomorrow Mick
I am sorry you had such a painful night Marydoll
gM when you are more settled presumably Waitrose or any other supermarket you choose could deliver the groceries leaving you to buy some nice meat etc locally. Mind you your step count must be really high!
Best wishes to all.

Oh, off to Filey, Shazza living in Hull as a child we went there every year wonderful holidays and playing beat the tide on outings to the Brig. And what strikes me on returning is how little it's changed. alas no more crazy golf or little theatre anymore, but apart from a block of flats at the cobble landing (fish and chip HQ) end it looks very much the same.

Yesterday was quiet enjoying the sun in the shade and today is Quakers and more of the same, and keeping vulnerable plants watered.

Take care now Mick and look after yourselves poorlies and enjoy family and outings all.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. We’ve had rain during the night. I don’t think it could have been much though.

Yesterday I went to my health class, caught up with GWorld and generally did nothing until it was cool in the evening. I went and tidied the greenhouse and I lit the chiminea 🤣 I wanted to burn some old poles.

Today I’ll do some housework and have a catch up with one of my brothers.

I hope all goes well for you tomorrow Mick.

Good morning from Durham. Yesterday turned out warm and sunny, so I’m hoping for the same today, after another cool, grey start.
I’m having a lie in with a cup of tea, watching an old edition of Morse, as I’ve no set plans for the day, but after DD2’s little dog’s departure and a visit from DD2 and her toddler yesterday, I really need to tackle my hard floors.
Good luck for tomorrow Mick. I hope your day of liquids only isn’t too arduous - it’s a means to an end.
Sorry to hear you’re not well Marydoll - take it easy.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. Another hot day, the thunderstorm warning is still in place. We had thunder and lightning yesterday evening but very little rain.

Nothing much planned for today, my foot is feeling much better after a day of rest. A walk around the marina at some point.

Safe journey to any travellers and healing thoughts to any poorlies.

Have a good day all 🌻🌻🌻

ShazzaKanazza Sun 11-Jun-23 08:36:00

Marydoll I’m sorry you were in so much pain overnight hope you feel better today after a rest.

BlueSapphire we love that area and drove through Hunmanby last week as well stopping to buy some new potatoes and mint someone was selling outside their house.

Sar I would love air con in our bedroom as it’s the warmest room in the house. We often discuss it maybe one day.

GrannySomerset Sun 11-Jun-23 08:36:00

Hot, grey and clammy this morning - and that’s just me. Church in our own village this morning but no other plans. We certainly need some rain but if we do get some it will be so heavy it just flattens the plants and runs off the surface of the earth. There is absolutely no pleasing me.

All good wishes for Mick tomorrow, for a better day for Marydoll, and for a good day for the rest of us.

Sar53 Sun 11-Jun-23 08:16:07

Good morning from a beautiful sunny day in Essex by the sea.
Our new air con unit has been used for the first time and what a difference it makes.
I've been at DD2'S house for a few days and arrived home early yesterday morning. Lovely to see two of my granddaughters.
Good luck with your surgery Mick.
A few bits to get in town this morning then a visit to the yacht club at lunchtime.
The Southend half marathon starts from the fields behind our flats this morning. Very busy it is already.
Have a lovely day everyone, drink lots and make sure you use plenty of suncream xx

BlueSapphire Sun 11-Jun-23 08:15:48

ShazzaKanazza, wave to my youngest DSis on your way to Brid and Filey - she lives in Hunmanby.

Marydoll Sun 11-Jun-23 08:14:23

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 13°C. We had five minutes of torrential rain last night and I noticed the patio is wet this morning.
I'm not looking forward to today's predicted thunderstorms, but the garden will benefit greatly.

I had a dreadful night, my pain levels were so high and Mr MDoll, is very grumpy this morning, as am I probably due to lack of sleep, caused by me!😔.
A very quiet day is on the cards.
I would have moved to the spare room, but the bed had was covered in stuff awaiting a charity shop uplift. An incentive to do something about it. 😊

I hope all goes well for your surgery Mick.

Enjoy your Sunday, folks.

BlueSapphire Sun 11-Jun-23 08:12:00

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, nothing on the books today except sit in the garden and read the papers, then start on my remaining library book.

Had a really good day out in Milton Keynes yesterday with a nice lunch out at Ask (plus fizz and wine 🍷). Came home with a new dress and two t-shirts from Fat Face (a favourite shop) and spent my M&S vouchers on a new bra. It was nice to be out of the sun and in the shade of the shopping mall, so didn't suffer from the dreaded hay fever at all. I went into Boots to enquire about the Allevia tablets, but the queue for the chemists' counter was so long that I had to leave it.

All the best.for tomorrow Mick.

Have a nice sunshiney day everyone.

NanaDana Sun 11-Jun-23 08:09:35

Good morning all from bonny Berwick upon Tweed, where the sun is trying to get out as we prepare to visit the weekly car boot sale in the town centre. Will we return empty-handed? That would be a first.. Hope all is well with you and yours. Enjoy your day.

NotAGran55 Sun 11-Jun-23 08:09:26

Just to wish you all the best for tomorrow Mick and hope it all goes to plan.

Liberty Sun 11-Jun-23 08:09:16

Good morning from another glorious day in Suffolk. Yesterday was just the same but there was a gentle breeze which seems to have disappeared now.

There are a couple of local farms producing asparagus which we always enjoy regularly its short season so shall have some today as well as local strawberries .

DS and family are’dropping by’….. their term not mine . They live about an hour away so we see them much more than our DDs who are 5 hours away in different directions.

It is my birthday tomorrow, double digits and not 66s. I think we may go to Dunwich for a walk on the beach and lunch in the pub there. The Flora tearoom does delicious fish and chips so might be tempted by those at a table outside if not too busy.

Hope you have a restful day Mick and all goes well with your surgery tomorrow.

Taichinan Sun 11-Jun-23 08:07:10

Good morning all and thoughts will be with you tomorrow Mick. I hope you don't find your liquid diet too miserable today.
All your talk of hot weather and sunshine down south does make me feel a little envious! Mind you, we did manage a few hours here yesterday too - until the haar rolled in. Just got to grin and bear it I suppose, and I know I couldn't cope with too much heat.
Today the New Driver, along with her boyfriend and Dancing GD, are coming for a visit and a Chinese takeaway. I shall close my mind against all imagined disasters and just look forward to seeing them!
Karma that's interesting, you being an organised Capricorn. My DS2 is just like you - but my DD, also a Capricorn - is anything but!
Enjoy your happy warm weather activities everyone x

Aldom Sun 11-Jun-23 07:58:00

Wishing you all the very best for your operation Mick.
I hope all goes well for you.
Get well soon. flowers

ShazzaKanazza Sun 11-Jun-23 07:52:28

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull.
Sending you best wishes for your operation tomorrow Mick. I hope everything goes as it should💐

We had a lovely day in the garden yesterday. The morning was spent pottering. DH removed the forget me nots that had finished flowering and I planted 24 cosmos in their place. The ground was so hard and dry to dig in we really need some rain. In the afternoon we just relaxed with our feet up and a few glasses of wine were enjoyed.
Today we are going to see Mum at her caravan in Bridlington and maybe a ride on to Filey. We will have fish and chips before heading back home.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone. Have a lovely Sunday 🌻🌻
