In answer to your question, with difficulty in my experience. You phone, leave messages, if any do return your calls it will be made clear that they are too busy, it's too difficult, too small a job. If you get a quote, often unrealistically high ( to put you off or take you for a mug who can be ripped off), nothing available till next year and so it goes on. We have experienced all of the above but Mr T is tenacious and eventually we have managed to get the job done, as Poppyred said this is most likely by word of mouth, usually when you start getting desperate and ask everyone if they know someone.
