Good morning. Pleased to say that the sun is up and working in N. Bucks.
Some food shopping this morning and the filling and top of a Lemon meringue to do. Have also made a Summer pudding for a
Family BBQ later. Meat and salads will be provided by rest of the clan.
Hope Mick is recovering. Healing thoughts to all who need them
A good weekend wished for all.

Good morning from a gull-filled Cornwall - they've been squawking for hours from the rooftops - with a sunny day ahead. But we had proper rain yesterday, oh bliss! My seven-year-old granddaughter has asked to spend the day with me and then we'll get the bus to her home for supper with my other son and all the grandchildren.

A request from granddaughter's aunty last evening for help with a painting. 10 years ago, when she was 13, we used to go out sketching and she's finally come back to art, which is so encouraging, as she's very talented.

Yippee, it’s raining! The first time since I moved to my flat.

Good morning, it is 15 degrees outside and there has been rain, 2.6mm of it. It will ba a more manageable day

It has to be my usual pottering today, which really means that I sit and knit but get up and walk around regularly doing this or that and sometimes with a duster or damp cloth in hand. This keeping house malarky is not what it used to be, not much effort at all these days compared to the 70s. I am indecisive today but always get a lot of things done and that might well include bottoming my en suite, including the plug holes

GM I am so glad that your pedal will be with you soon, sewing is such a nice hobby and can while away the time in a haze of contentment.

I read all the daily posts and do light a virtual candle for those who need a bit of a hug in this up and down life

Have a good day today

Good morning grandMattie, it’s a very dull grey start here in south Somerset as well, it actually looks like it could rain!
I’m pleased you solved your sewing machine problem, it’s so frustrating when a vital piece of equipment goes missing- we lost the cable and pedal from one a few years ago, never did find it.
Looking forward to trying collage today, something I don’t think I have ever done before, should be fun!
I hope Mick is recovering well and home soon.

Have a lovely weekend everyone 🌹

Good morning from Bristol, for Mick, in abstentia, who, I hope, is improving daily.
It is grey and we are promised a shower very soon, already 17C. Not holding my breath for rain. The lawns are brown and some plants are already starting to die of thirst…
Very busy yesterday and today with a church “clothes exchange”. I helped put the mostly women’s clothes on rails and order them in size and type. I’ve never been to anything like that, so have no idea how it’ll go. DS and DGDs are selling raffle tickets for us. I’m going to be sewing (on DD’s borrowed machine) mostly totes from old pillowcases, tablecloths, shirts, etc., to show reuse of fabrics. Because the hall is very popular, we have very little time to set anything up. Or down too.
Not really time for anything else.
Thank you everyone who gave me links to machine parts. I have ordered a pedal and cable from the Scottish company to be delivered today or Monday. Excellent service and extremely friendly an£ helpful person at the telephone.
Have a contented weekend one and all. 🪷🌹🌺 to the poorlies. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩
