Morning all from sun/cloud in S Hants, we had a couple of hours of rain yesterday, we need a couple of days.
My daughter and grandchildren called with a gift for grandad, the rest of our day was quiet.
I’m on the voluntary phones today, possibly quiz tonight.
I’m grateful for your opening gMattie but look forward to seeing Mick back.
Thoughts with those being very brave.

Good morning all from a humid and wet 🎉 Glasgow. I was hoping we would have heard from Mick by now.
It looks like another day in bed for me, which is a pain, because Monday is my out and about day.

A visit from Babyboll was such a tonic yesterday, DS2 was proud to be wearing his Fathers' day dad t-shirt, with baby wearing one which said, I love my daddy.
DH thinks our son has had a personality transplant, this once, shy, circumspect and reticent man has totally changed since Baby was born. Long may it continue.
DD had sent a card with a photo of she and her brothers at Scarborough, when they were very small. Baby is DD's double!
Everyone has remarked on the resemblance. 😍

Good morning from a bright but cooler Suffolk. We did have some rain late last evening which seems to have all fallen into the peonies which are now very widespread. The blooms are magnificent and huge and I thought the metal circular supports were adequate but not so. I shall go out with garden twine shortly and try and find something to tie them to.

DH’s car due for an MOT and then Ihave a few jobs to do before I go to DD1’s in Bristol tomorrow.

As always thinking of those with health and other worries and hoping to hear fromMick very soon.

Today I’m off to the gym for the Zumba class then a trip to Tesco. DH is doing very well with his walking, yesterday he progressed from using two crutches to just one, so he’s now got one free hand to carry things. I’ve got plans for him to clear the table after dinner tonight!

Got a computer emergency: bought a recon last week and the lead is dodgy connection wise. Total panic last night as it gave up altogether and I have an important Zoom at 10.30, but this morning bodged a solution propping the plug up on a piece of Tupperware. It I’m cross since I told them Thursday and they said they’d drop one by.

May our loved poorlies and family members be as well as they can and outings enjoyed.

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. Unusually busy weekend with a visit from DB and American friend who was lovely and chatted away, my kitchen was much admired. Our town has a lot of history and I took them for a walk trying to remember what I could. Yesterday we had lunch with all the available family. I now have to pack to go away for a week. It’s either all go here or nothing.
I also hope Mick is doing well

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, a shower forecast this afternoon. We had a heavy downpour for about 20 minutes yesterday morning, and then a short burst of drizzle in the evening, not enough really. I spent the day indoors reading, the newspaper first and puzzle pages, and then finished my library book.

Yoga first this morning, return my library books and then not sure what to do the rest of the day.

Hope Mick is ok, and that all poorlies have a better day.

The reported rain didn’t reach our bit of Somerset so the tall plants in the border are still standing. The gardener is giving me extra hours today to complete the shrub trimming so it’s as well it is still dry - for the moment, anyway.

Must say I am looking forward to cooler weather because I lack the energy to do more than the minimum. Doubt I am alone in this.

Good morning all and the sun is out, washing on the line and getting ready to pick little DGD up for school.

We need to clear the garden for our neighbour to lay our new patio. This isn’t his real job but he has made a good job of his own. He left his job to do something different so we are his first customers 🤞.

I’ll pop up to town and look for a black jacket for the funeral tomorrow. I have a feeling I’m going to need it again in the near future 😢🙏.

Morning from S Lanarkshire, a bit muggy just now.

Last post school childminding trip to Giffnock today before the end of term on Friday. I’m not sure whether it might be the last ever, DD thinks it’s becoming too much for me and I’m concerned about them being left in a fix if I find that myself. If they want after school care they will have to apply very soon.
Hey ho, we’ll see.

I wish we would hear how Mick is, I hope he’s doing okay.

DD4 off on her solo trip to Harris this morning, she is very excited, I do hope the weather holds for her, a week in a shepherd’s hut in the rain might be an adventure too far!

It’s to be a promising day today, my son who lives in Dunoon in Somerset had the most awful deluge yesterday

I’m off Shopping with my carer today and I’m taking clothes to the local charity shop I may even get a McFlurry from McDonald’s and sit in my wheelchair looking over the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh.

Yesterday we had rain! Very welcome, except my poor bed of magnificent delphs are looking very sorry for themselves. So top heavy with blossom, I fear that they may not recover. Still they always blossom twice so late summer should see them magnificent again🙂. I will try to prop them up before they fade.

Morning grandmattie, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset, some look quite heavy.

Rain, or lack of, seems to be featuring a lot this morning. A brief shower here yesterday, damped the dust down. Our former daughter in law is Glastonbury bound this year and is predicting rain!

Mr C opted for a wander along the coast yesterday. A short walk was followed by a long sit outside at a garden centre where we enjoyed some excellent cake. A plant or three had to come home with us. Oops.

Ironing first thing, Mr C is then destined for a haircut while I pick up some bits for a housebound neighbour. Maybe a short walk on the sea front, see how we feel and what those clouds do. Back to my ‘things I really should put off no longer’ list this afternoon.

Hope mick is recovering, my thoughts go to all with worries. Hope Monday is kind to us all.

I need to get the spare room ready we have visitors arriving Friday so that's my job for today.

Good morning all from warm and showery South Lanarkshire.

Work today, first day in weeks that my colleague and I are both in so it will give us an opportunity to catch up with what we’re aiming to accomplish over the next few weeks.

DH is going to help DS empty his garage, a couple of tip runs will be needed. They’ve had an offer accepted on a house st last but now are under pressure to get their flat sold. There’s much work to be done.

Thinking of those who are ill or worried, there seems to be so many just now.

Good morning from the Cotswolds, it’s a bit cloudy here but no rain forecast.
How I wish we would have rain, the piddling little shower yesterday has done nothing here.
As I drove home from a few days away yesterday afternoon there were already queues of cars and camper vans heading into Glastonbury although it doesn’t start for a few days. I was very relieved that I won’t be travelling that way again for a few weeks; queues heading towards me were nearly 2 miles long!
Today is Notalot day, but I must wash the car before I take it for the MOT tomorrow, it’s been parked under trees and is plastered with horrible little sticky buds and pigeon poo 🤢
I had hoped a thunderstorm would swill it off …..

Yesterday I picked up birthday gifts and cards at my local garden centre. And, as I was there, spent more money on plants to fill pots. That's the last for a while.
Today is a childcare day. A walk to the swings is probably indicated. Maybe a play in the garden too. Then visit tat night. I'm feeling a bit low in spirits today but I'm sure it'll pass. Have a good day all

Good morning, Mattie and Ash and all GNs who come after. Mick I hope you’re doing okay and we’ll see you posting soon. I forgot to draw the bedroom curtains across the vertical blinds last night and so the light woke me very early this morning. We had a thunderstorm and rain of biblical proportions yesterday evening. A day of steady rainfall would have been nice, but not the whole lot - and hailstones - in two hours! It has made something of a mess of my taller plants and I fear they won’t recover this year.
Not sure what’s on the agenda today - I seem to be going into a lag phase, so I will go out somewhere.

Good morning from a drought-ridden s somerset. My weather station says that we have had only 3.4 mm in one month and no rain in sight.

I dozed off outside in my recliner, no sun but the weather was lovely, like being in a warm bath. No aches after all that outside work but I was tired and did have a job to straighten up.

A few things to do today, 2 bags of gravel to buy and lay later today and it was better that I was under rather than over. Flue will be swept late morning and then the lovely chatty craft group this afternoon.

Local everything for me this week, I do not want to be snarled up in any festival traffic and lots are on the road early, to set up camp somewhere or other

Our church's Summer Fair cleared £2k which is good. Funds are welcome as, like many establishments, it took quite a hit during the pandemic.

Quite a full day with an Asda click and collect (non food items), filling up with petrol then my exercise class plus a rehearsal for Dad’s Army tonight.

I hope today starts a better week for all. Thinking especially of Mick, Urmstongran and Kalu. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩
