Good morning/afternoon from sunny West Sussex.
I just wanted to say welcome home to Mick and thank you to Grandmattie for opening up in his absence.
We had a night away in the campervan as it had to go to Southampton for its annual check-up. Busy roads after Tuesday morning’s torrential rain meant a late arrival but by lunchtime we were back on the road and heading for a campsite outside Winchester. We had a lovely afternoon and early evening exploring and bought fish and chips before getting the bus back to the campsite. The campsite was full of birdsong and orchids (as well as caravans and motorhomes).
We went to visit Hinton Ampner garden where the roses were in full bloom, some a little past their prime but still lovely. We loved the church there and before we left I lit a candle, thinking of all on here who are suffering serious illness, themselves or loved one. I especially thought of Marydoll, the Kalus and Urmstons.
Dog sitting today and trying to create some order in the chaos which has built up after a busy couple of weeks. If dog will allow, I will try to finish reading for my book group tomorrow.
