Put a glass over it and gently slide paper or anything over glass front keep it covered the bee can then be safely released outside.

It's so cute - does it have a name?

Bertie? Belinda?

He is called Buzzy Bee and has lived happily in my window for more than 20 years and he has been bounced on his spring by all 4 of my Grandkids (and me occasionally). He was born in Spain. I do have to remember to dust him now and again as his feet get a little grubby.

He's doing very well for 20!

Oh, beehave! grin On that note though, last week I found the most enormous bumble bee I've ever seen in our living room - it was huge, easily twice the size of most normal bumble bees! And yes, I did use the glass and paper trick to safely guide him back outside again.

On Thursday my granddaughters came running out to me in the garden to say that there was a huge bee on our kitchen windowsill. It was indeed huge. I opened a nearby window and encouraged the bee onto a drying up cloth and let it fly off through the open window. It was much bigger than our usual bees.

There was one on my sitting room window (outside) last week. I think they are Queens looking for a home, so I was relieved when it buzzed off.
