I was burnt on my lower legs a month ago, it only took one hour and I never felt it happening. The thought of the consequences of sunburn was quite frightening tbh and I will not let it happen again, to anywhere on my body

I used a cooling gel and needed paracetamol when I went to bed. A few days later, the horrible peeling started and that stung around the edges for around three weeks. A week after the stinging stopped, there are still a couple of tiny sites of peeling skin, which will be shed in due course

Sudacreme is very good too.

Put a handful of black tea bags into a teapot add hot water and allow to infuse for at least ten minutes .

Squeeze out the cooled bags to get as much out of them as you can .

Fill a bath with lukewarm water , add the tea and soak for as long as possible .

Twenty minutes is about right .

Gently pat yourself dry , apply cream or calamine as preferred .
Sit or lie naked (!) by a fan and hydrate yourself with as much water , fruit juice or tea as possible .

When we were in Malta one year it was sizzling hot. We applied factor 50 to each other but unfortunately I must have missed a piece on my husband’s back. It was only small maybe 4” wide but he was in great pain when it burned. We went to the pharmacy and he said aloe vera was the best thing and it was!! You can get a gel or spray.

Aloe vera gel is the best relief.

Oh no, i hope it gets better soon.

It is easy to lose track of time

Nivea cream on it ? Or, failing that, zinc? Lots of cool drinks, too. Been there many times to my shame !

Am I the only one daft enough to get a sunburn gardening? I seriously lost track of time.

I cannot sleep, very painful and an important day tomorrow sad
