Any thoughts on 'Threads'?

It's Zuckerberg's answer to twitter. Very similar, apparently.

The problem with Threads, for me, is that you have to be a member of Instagram in order to sign up. It's a site that I have never seen the purpose of and I've no wish to join.

And there are the usual worries about Meta having all your data and what are they going to do with it?

I don't have much problem with twitter at the moment, but if the people I follow desert it, it won't be so useful or interesting.

Never got into twitter so never used it, doubt I ll bother with threads

I know where I am in Twitter. Recently, though I'm fed up with all the adverts aka 'promoted' posts. I block away but it's irritating having to.

Nope.

I've never found Twitter problematic. One can avoid the rubbish quite easily.

I find it difficult to use, probably just because I was used to Twitter.
