Todays plans apart from doing my own Fish & Chips ,as I have started to eat more regular meals again.
My system is gradually getting better despite weight loss .
The day they you can have a beer will be nice.

Our 50th/ golden wedding anniversary today and still putting up with each other🤣

mamaa Fri 14-Jul-23 21:53:24

Marydoll you really can’t- Becks Blue 0% is great- and no we’re not on commission- 😉🤣

Marydoll Fri 14-Jul-23 12:55:46

mamma I too like Becks Blue 0%! You can't tell the difference.

I hope ⁷Mick has come back to listen to the recommendations.

Anniebach Fri 14-Jul-23 12:16:07

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

mamaa Fri 14-Jul-23 12:13:58

Oops, I’m late on parade, again!
Becks Blue 0% alcoholic beer is really good Mick, I can’t tell the difference between that and ‘real’ beer.
Beautiful baby girl Pitt, have you had a cuddle yet?
Raining now here in East Suffolk, due to be going away with the caravan this Sunday for a few days- hope the rain doesn’t decide to stay!
Thoughts to all with worries whatever they might be, hoping you get a little ☀️in whatever form today. x

glammagran Fri 14-Jul-23 12:04:47

Just coming back to say what a beautiful GD you have Pittcity.

Grandmadinosaur Fri 14-Jul-23 12:04:07

What a gorgeous little girl Pittcity congrats to you all.

Litterpicker Fri 14-Jul-23 11:57:02

Gongratulations on the new DGD, Pittcity - she is gorgeous.

Welcome Jacs7 - look forward to hearing more about you and your daily doings 🙂. Enjoy your holiday.

Mick, I second the recommendation for non-alcohol beers - my SiL enjoys several brands - maybe tide you over until you can enjoy the real thing!

Beautiful hydrangea, Taichi.

Glad you are enjoying Biarritz, Holly. It would be too hot for me 🥵. Siberia sounds fascinating Juliee, but also too hot at the moment!

It is dull with rain and thunderstorms forecast here in East Lothian but as I spent nearly 3 hours gardening at DDs yesterday evening I’m looking forward to a restful day.

Pittcity Fri 14-Jul-23 10:33:13

Thank you all for your good wishes. It's lovely to have so many friends.x

Grandmachrisy47 Fri 14-Jul-23 10:31:23

What a beautiful baby, Pittcity. Welcome Jacs7.
Dgd’s sports day has been cancelled. She’s most 😢

aggie Fri 14-Jul-23 10:12:33

Good morning from a wet Co Armagh
I’m going to put on my new raincoat and pull some rhubarb , I’ll chop it up for the freezer
Little tomatoes are swelling , looks like a fair crop 🤞 , they are from a mixed packet of seeds so no idea which is which , might be interesting 🙄
Best wishes to all 🎶🥺

hollysteers Fri 14-Jul-23 10:09:48

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Biarritz, it’s going to be a scorcher. We walked a lot yesterday, up to the lighthouse and around the town. Another delicious meal (lamb, Basque).
Later met up with an amusing Frenchman we met at the airport on our way out last week and watched the beautiful sunset. Then to a bar/disco owned by his family.
Beach day today and then travel back tomorrow after buying a striped traditional French top, My current ted striped top dates back to the 1970s and comes out every year. Will go for blue this time.
Thinking of you Mick and your future steps towards recovery.

Welcome Jacs congratulations Pittcity, hope your repairs go well grandmattie and thoughts to all with worries.

Gingster Fri 14-Jul-23 10:02:42

Gorgeous baby Pittcity a peachy complexion. 👶🏼

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 14-Jul-23 10:01:00

Good. Morning from a wet Oxfordshire, you sound a bit perkier Mick, enjoy your day.

MzOops visited her (ex) mother in law, who sadly has lost most of her sight due to a botched Cataract op, she has arrived back here with boxes and bags of all sorts either to sell or for GCs, needless to say most of it will end up staying here until she has enough room in the car to get it back to Cornwall. Just when I’m trying to declutter…
they went to see Mission Impossible last night (enjoyed it very much) we were going to go, but decided that a 3 hour film staring at 8.30pm would probably find us snoring in our seat half way through!

We saw a few jets flying over yesterday, forgot is was Fairford this weekend.

The property we were due to see in Devon next week has just been taken off the market which is a nuisance, maybe we can find something else to view.

Beautiful baby Pitt

Hope all the poorlies soon start to feel a bit better. Thoughts are with Urms and Kalu.

Thorntrees Fri 14-Jul-23 09:59:58

How lovely to see a beautiful new baby picture this morning, congratulations to all the family.

Auntieflo Fri 14-Jul-23 09:56:25

Good morning Mick, Annie and all from an increasingly wet bit of Berks. (Maybe that's why even my thumbs ache).

Great to read that you are sounding more upbeat Mick and your first beer will taste amazing.
We were expecting the Volunteer Gardeners today, but they won't come in the rain, so a credit now for the future.
I bought a beautiful plant as a gift and have been keeping it in the garden, but this morning brought it in so that it doesn't get battered by the forecast winds and rain.
My friend came for coffee yesterday and we chatted for ages. She is such a good friend and does me good.
Such a lovely picture of the new baby Pittcity, congratulations to all. Enjoy all the cuddles that will be coming your way.
Ekwa, we watched that programme about keeping healthy, and my goodness, didn't the 80 and 90 year olds look good.
Marydoll, hope you manage to enjoy your empty today. It does take time to adjust to forced inactivity, but the Dollies will make up for it.
GrandMattie, what a treat to have your own Designer on hand, and best wishes for when the bathroom floor gets repaired.
Thinking of all those who are under the weather and need lots of TLC. 😘 flowers
Have a good day one and all.

ginny Fri 14-Jul-23 09:46:39

Beautiful flowers Taichinan, they have brightest my morning.

Hello Jacs7 welcome to this friendly thread.

luluaugust Fri 14-Jul-23 09:40:39

Good morning from a miserable W Kent (weatherise that is).
Usual shopping the morning and then U3A talk this afternoon. Apparently it is to do with the workhouse so should cheer us all up!
All the best for the dentist baubles
Welcome to Jacs enjoy Norfolk.
Lovely new baby Pittcity
Best wishes to all

Blossoming Fri 14-Jul-23 09:39:29

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire.

I’m glad you’re improving and eating more*Mick*, I remember craving a bacon sandwich about 2 weeks after my surgery.

It must be a relief to have the plumber sorted Grandmattie.

You sound better this morning Marydoll, enjoy the empty. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the cardiology appointment.

Congratulations on your gorgeous granddaughter Pittcity.

Hope the dentist isn’t too unpleasant Baubles, modern anaesthetics are so much better.

Hope the doctor visit reassures you Ekwa. You’re right, it is all in the genes and unfortunately mine contained a hereditary condition grin.

Today’s plan is housework and possibly a walk around the marina. The weather isn’t promising so I may leave washing towels until tomorrow.

Thinking of Kalu, Urms and all who are dealing with illness right now.

Have a good day all 🌻🌻🌻

Taichinan Fri 14-Jul-23 09:39:02

Welcome Jacs7 and enjoy your Norfolk break. Just back in fron feeding the fish - they were surprisingly grateful for an early feed 😉 - and took this pic of my favourite hydrangea on the way.
Ekwa hope all's well with your ticker.

monk08 Fri 14-Jul-23 09:17:38

.

Marydoll Fri 14-Jul-23 09:17:13

Welcome Jacs7, enjoy your holiday.

Jacs7 Fri 14-Jul-23 09:14:47

Good morning Mick and everyone from a grey north Kent. Having been a benign watcher for quite a while I decided today would be the day to take a more active part in Mick’s lovely group.

DH and I are about to drive to north Norfolk for a week’s holiday. The weather looks a bit iffy, but as it’s the one thing I can’t control will hope for the best! We have all day so no rush. Will have to take the cat to the Cattery on route: she’s seen the bags being packed so is now playing the self pitying card and following us around looking woebegone. The Cattery dotes on her so she’ll be ok.

Hope you all have a good day.
