I was very proud of myself when I kicked off my stilettos and won the Mum's flat race! (40 years ago I hasten to add!!)

I still live on the glory of when us Mums beat the year 6 Netball Team. Who had won all the local matches/league & trophies that year.

We had to play in the position our DD’s did, we beat them soundly.

I might have had a go at an egg and spoon - about my limit - if they’d ever had one.
Dh did once win the dads’ swimming race though - he still had a nifty front crawl then.
