I’m on my own caring for my 101 mother,but I have my health nice home and some money in the bank, I’m very blessed but no one to share it with.it’s always hard at holiday season with what seems like everyone out enjoying themselves.I want to think positive so I’ve decided to not look at media like Facebook it only makes me feel more trapped,and envious which isn’t helpful.Hugs from me to you all xx

You and your dear Mama sound amazing !! Ignore all the “wonderful lives” playing out on all social media everywhere, pretty sure most of these “perfect” lives are pretty much as dull as ours, with housework, tummy upsets and things going awry, just like the rest of us - sending big hugs 🤗🤗🤗

susandevon53 we look at our situation that we're in at its worst, we close in on all the negative and dont see any positive in anything, but 1 day you will reflect on everything and realise just how much positiveness there was... you have taken steps already to do something positive in your life and that is just brilliant. Roll those sleeves up and surge forward, YOU CAN DO IT...

Serendipity22 Thank you for a positive thread. Our two grandsons (my OH’s daughter’s) have been here to stay for a few days, aged 11 & 8 years. Their lovely Daddy died, aged 47, in January, after only being diagnosed with terminally cancer 3 months before. They are doing incredibly well, and have a great extended family around to support them. Family, friends, support groups are so very important.

Thank you Serendipity, what a kind thought.
I always think that tomorrow is another day, a chance to move forward, or to make changes.
So here's a hug winging it's way back to you, 🤗
