I have 'honorary' twin German 'grand daughters' who will be 3 when we all meet up soon in Mallorca ...I have not seen them since they were born, because of COVID, work commitments, other holidays, etc ...I have been searching for something I can take (not too large because of luggage ) ! I was thinking of something like an expanding bracelet each, with their names on ..BUT can find nothing in any jewellery shops, and not on Amazon etc that I like ! What is the item you buy for new grandchildren nowadays (back when it was a silver spoon, a christening bracelet, expanding bracelet etc) but I am told that this is an old fashioned idea ..........want to buy something they can keep so not toys clothes, etc ! I sent a gift of money when they were born, but would like to take something tangible ..........ideas, please ? thanks

Not sure that 3-yr olds would be interested in anything they can’t have fun with straightaway, so I would def take a nice present each, and pass the bracelets or whatever you decide to give them to their parents. Perhaps a little locket or charm to hang on a chain.

Jewellery to keep until they are older, but whilst in Mallorca buy them some small beach toys to play with.

Mallorca is famous for its pearls, why not buy them each a pearl bracelet or similar to put away until they are older.

I bought a silver necklace with their initials and birthstone for some I know. I got it online I think from something called Jewellers of London.
Suppose you want something that means something now. Like others have said buy them toys while you are on holiday they can enjoy.
