Good morning from Shropshire.A dry but dull day forecast.

Yesterday I completed my list of jobs and along the way sorted four bags of books and clothes that are no longer wanted so a good result.

We have a balloon festival here later in the month grandMattie. It’s always a good day out.

Glad the play went well Ash.

Have the best day you can everyone🌺🦩

Good morning all and it’s overcast here in Essex but with no rain forecast until late afternoon.🤞.

Yesterday was satisfying with phone calls , post office drop off, car booked in and appointments re-booked. No frustrations -makes a change. .

Today I have play reading, then lunch with a friend and this afternoon, Bridge club. My favourite sort of day. It’s nice to get back to ‘things’ after our restful time in Suffolk.
Dh is quite happy to watch the footie and potter.

What a tense game yesterday. I thought our Lionesses did so well against the strong Nigerian team. I’m not usually a football fan but it was sooo exciting. Im Looking forward to their next match 🫣.

Ash nice to have a ‘full house’ with plenty of laughter. Do you have a part or are you Front of House?

Karma glad your consultation went well.

Roseandlilac that scam sounds very authentic. Thanks for letting us know and be aware.

Grandmabatty you must be exhausted. Take a bit of time for yourself.

Hoping all your days are happy ones.🌸

Good morning all from a fairly bright North Leicestershire.

Thank you for the good wishes for DH's birthday. He had a good day - 3 children and 5 grandchildren were here.

Cleaners due at 9.30 so we'd better get going.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s bright and sunny
Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, our plans changed as DD2 messaged asking if we could take DGS out for the day as the rest of the family were all feeling poorly with a sickness bug. So we picked him up and enjoyed a hike and a picnic lunch at the top of a hill admiring the gorgeous views and DH was pleased his knee was ok too - even on the down bits! He came back here for a sleepover and wants to do something similar today.
That sounds like a sophisticated scam roses hope no one gets caught out.
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all from an overcast Black country, yesterday was a rain free day the first in a month managed to get washing dried ironed and put away.
Today I may clean the windows inside the sun shining on them showed how much they need doing.
grandMattie we were staying with my brother the one year during the balloon festival it's a wonderful sight and bought back lovely memories of my own ballooning holiday.
Well the bin men have just been so will fetch my bins in, enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning from a grey Essex coast.
I'm going to help DH this morning so lots to do before we go out.
It's DD2'S birthday today and DGD1's birthday tomorrow. She will be a very grown up 15. They are currently on holiday in Kos.
Thinking of all those with sadness or worries.
I hope Tuesday is a good day xx

Good morning from an overcast Colchester. A cool day with some rain forecast.
As it's Tuesday I'm back to charity shop volunteering now that my grannying stint is over.
I'd better get dressed and breakfasted instead of browsing GN.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from Cornwall where we have rain today: the light is almost purple, strange.

Thank you Ash, I will take a look at the website. My knee is agony at the moment so that may affect my good intentions. Only three months, three weeks and three days till my op! gringrin

I fancy making something from my denim stache today but before that must chop up the fallen giant echium to fit into my green recycling bag. Ever the optimist, me.

Good morning from a grey W Kent. Off out this morning to visit a friend who is worrying her son may lose his job. DD2 and GC are moving in for a few days as the work on their home means they have no facilities. I don’t know why I thought August would be quiet.
Best wishes to all

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the sun is making an appearance. Much gardening in the marsh yesterday (which is probably why I slept like a top last night); had a long chat with one of my neighbours who was also grass cutting. We don’t see each other very often. Today, GS might come over, but if he doesn’t turn up, I will clean the conservatory windows and do some laundry. I also have to do a garage audit to see what needs to be cleared out.
Have the best day you can, folks!

Good morning from s somerset, whoops ahould have looked at the weather forecast before putting washing on. Rain soon

Consultation was excellent yesterday, lovely to feel safe in the hands of a good professional and my anxiety disappeared. I had treatment there and then and a follow up in a few months

I have ordered another dungaree pattern, dd asked me to make her some. I am not going to cut up my pattern to make a size 10 and tracing all the parts would put me off. I found some good fabric in my stash and am doing another pre-wash as it is a denim

Not doing much today, maybe just relaxing

Have a good day

Good morning from a cloudy Torbay with the forecast being for more of the same.

I’m pleased to hear that you’re back into your usual routine, Mick. The balloon festival sounds like fun, grandMattie. I’m glad you didn’t fall for the scam, RosesandLilac.

I don’t know how you find the energy, Grandmabatty, but well done on your dedication to giving the grandsons such entertaining days, besides having to consider your Mum, too.

Our opening night went well, apart from a few minor hitches! The audience was very responsive; their laughter and applause was uplifting for all involved. A large contingent from my previous church came as last night was part charity (they can sell tickets and keep the money.) They number amongst their membership our local (Tory) MP, who was sitting on the front row.

Back to the theatre for Props this morning. Mizuna: our play runs for a fortnight with a matinée on the final Saturday. Details here, if you’re interested:-

Good morning from a wet Cotswolds hillside , I’m glad I did my bit of gardening yesterday 😊
DH and the dog enjoyed their day out, both were asleep and snoring within a short time of getting home!
I had a lovely day, enjoying just doing whatever I wanted, no cooking!!
Today I will carry on with my watercolour of a seahorse, fingers crossed it goes well!
I did have a weird phone call yesterday from a supposed DC Cox who said he’d arrested someone fraudently using my bank card in Oxford Street. He gave me his identity number, a crime number etc . All absolute b…sh1t - the said he’d connect me to my bank to sort it out. Obviously a scam but very plausible until the end bit. Be careful if you get a similar call.
Take care everyone 🌹

Good morning from the South Downs. Wet day forecast later, so hopefully the morning walk will be dry.

Yesterday went as planned - a neighbour popped in with money from the sale of stuff my DH had made, which pleased him. Caught up on all her news.

Today will be an easy day, bit of ironing, weed the front if rain allows, then free to enjoy myself doing what takes my fancy. Might get the watercolours out.

Fish day today - honey-glazed salmon tray bake - tray bakes are always so easy.

Have a good day

Good morning from a grey Bristol. We are promised light showers today. I’ll do my washing tomorrow.
My neighbour took me to Tesco yesterday. She always starts with a coffee. While chatting, she asked me to join her on Saturday for the Bristol Balloon Festival. All week there have been practice flights, but Saturday is the big day. In previous years, we have been staying with DD as she liked to host her dad’s birthday on 9th. I’ve no idea what her plans are but I shall go with my new our, having accepted the invitation.
This and that all day yesterday, caring for my eyes.
I have thoroughly enjoyed “Ladder of Years” by Ann Tyler. I love her stories.
T’ai chi today, longish walk each way, then pottering.
Thoughts for all those in need.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning Mick and all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and bright. There are only a few clouds dotted about.
Yesterday was a busy childcare day. Soft play in the morning was unbelievably busy. It's the last session I'll do before the return to nursery for dgs1. Thank goodness! Later we walked to the swings and blethered to my next door neighbour. The boys played in the garden too. I visited mum at night who was able to hold a brief conversation again.
Today is another childcare day. We are going to the big park in Falkirk this morning then garden and swings this afternoon. I think I'll make a chicken curry for dinner. Have a good day all
