Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.

Up early as the men are coming to rip out the kitchen. DH has to take my car in for some body work. No idea what happened but a big scratch appeared somehow, somewhere.

I am helping on a Carer's course this afternoon

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a dreary looking Torbay.

A restful day was probably a good idea, Grandmabatty, with the busy day to face. I expect the ECG is precautionary, grandMattie and an adjustment to medication, if any, will bring your BP down. Staff at GP Practices seem very concerned about BP and the recommended result keeps lowering, making it increasingly difficult to reach, in my experience!

It was kind of folk to comment so warmly on Dad’s Army yesterday and in reply:
baubles: it’s the only one of our 10 plays that we run for two weeks in the hope of entertaining more visitors to the area. I did find it tiring at first, but was better once I got into the rhythm of the routine of late nights.
Yes, Marydoll, the performing arts have always been a passion and it’s a most rewarding hobby in retirement, especially socially. Not everyone wants to act so we depend on volunteers to support in various capacities to ensure the smooth running of performances.
Tiredness certainly caught up with me last night, Jaxjacky; I was in bed by 9.30p.m.!
Susan56: how kind of you to remember my heart surgery. It certainly is a joy to be able to participate in a long run like this one. At last, I am starting to find joy in what I can achieve.

How rough the Spanish team was but apparently that is typical of the teams from there, according to my DS. I was proud of the Lionesses despite the fizz we had cooling still being in the fridge! 🙁

Today my visitor and I will go to my Move It Or Lose It Class and dine out tonight.

I hope this is a good week for all with safe travel for LLFL.

Good morning from Cornwall where sun is promised today. Must venture to my allotment to plan how the fallen tree will be removed and to start gathering fallen leaves to make leaf mould. Coffee will be made on my shed cooker, after I de-web the kettle as a persistent spider has made its precarious home between the kettle and the wall for ages now and I can't persuade it to move elsewhere.

Made two pairs of earrings during the football match yesterday; I'm more of a TV glancer than watcher. Lovely meal with my daughter-in-law and grandson in the evening; she makes such a yummy roast.

Afternoon all from sunny Sydney. I’ve just finished a bowl of my sister’s delicious home-made ham and lentil soup. Also, I’ve been checking in on line for my flight tomorrow and talking to my brother on WhatsApp. My sister doesn’t have a decent printer at home so I’ve had to request that my boarding passes are emailed to her office for her to print off… Shoulder of lamb in a slow cooker tonight for my leaving dinner. Have a good day. I probably won’t be calling in until Wednesday!

Good morning from a hazy Bristol. The diurnal temperature variation is quite high. The higher “summer” temperatures are only reached in the late afternoon here.
Church was extremely quiet yesterday, no doubt due to the football - that was a shame wasn’t it?
I did very little else. Shifted some furniture in anticipation of the Salvation Army collecting a load of book cases, itself in preparation for the work to be started on my soggy bathroom in September.
Today, I’m seeing the surgery for an ECG. Apparently my blood pressure has suddenly risen to unacceptable levels. Feeling quite anxious about that, unfortunately that really is unhelpful!
Hope the coming week is kind to everyone. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning Mick and others. Enjoy your time in Bicester. Polmont is wet this morning and it's 14° so it'll be a muggy start.
I had a very lazy day yesterday. I binge watched World on Fire and enjoyed it, however too much telly isn't good for anyone.
I'm up extremely early for me because I have childcare duties. Dd has to go into her office so leaves at half six. I'll do the nursery drop and then bring dgs2 to my house. We'll see what the day brings. I'll visit mum later. Gammon salad for dinner. Have a good day all.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking grey outside but dry ,signs of the daylight hours shortening here in brackley.
Today after some essential housework , I will get the bus to Bicester for a couple of hours hopefully .
Return for lunch and a easy day at home.
Take Care,
Mick
