Good Morning Everyone,
Its still dark in brackley but remains dry .
Today , try to get a regular routine , maybe some laundry to do , followed by a double dose of cycling on TV on two separate channels.
I am also hoping my health improves despite a cold .
Take Care,

Good morning all from a very sunny East Yorkshire countryside. We are promised temperatures of 25 degrees today. That will do for me.
Had a pleasantly similar day yesterday. We went and had coffee on another park with nice views overlooking a lake. It was quiet there and we sat for ages. We then decided to have a game on the crazy golf. After that we tried a new to us farm shop we came across last week. I bought a beautiful piece of beef and various other items. Very good prices too. Then we came home and relaxed sitting out in the sun reading.
Today the family are coming over and after the men have watched football we are going for a late Sunday lunch. DIL and I will take the children to the play area and a walk to one of the areas they haven’t explored before whilst the men are otherwise engaged 😬They adore being here and we are all so lucky to have it in our lives.
Mizuna isn’t it such a joy passing on our skills and interests to grandchildren.
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Quiet day yesterday, catching up on washing, cleaning the pigeon poo off the patio and practising for concert this week (not so quiet…)
Watching tv in the evening (Becoming Elizabeth), I heard faint miaowing. The garden room below (split level bungalow) had been opened to use the tap to clean the patio and the cat was locked in there. I need to watch that.
Long FaceTime with my younger sister in the south in the evening.
Pianist and friend comes over today (50 miles away) for final run through and will see what else he would like to do on this sunny day. He will probably stay over.
Thoughts as always to those with worries 🌹
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.
Yesterday was the same. I went into town early on various errands. Having been to Sainsbury's, I then found the centre's shops not yet open so treated myself to coffee and the necessary ginger biscuits at my favourite coffee outfit. I passed through M&S again and, as earlier in the week, bought myself something, only a modest little beanie ready for the coming winter! They still have racks and racks of, to me, ghastly print summer dresses that I wouldn't want to be buried in...
Home to a long phone chat with my sister and a general sorting out of clothes.
In the evening, I watched a sci-fi film I'd recorded and nearly turned it off, it was so scary. I actually screamed at one point. DH would have been no good if he'd still been here, he would have been behind the sofa!
Thanks for the laugh Urmston, I wonder if these ideas come easily to Matt or whether he lies awake half the night worrying about what to come up with for the next edition?
Do have the best possible day everyone and best wishes to MrCornergran.
Thanks for the meal idea Oops 😃
Good morning all and it’s due to be another warm one. Very humid yesterday. I always walk the dog first thing with a light jumper on and come back , sweating! Shower and change clothes.
Had a lovely surprise last evening when dgd1 phoned to say could her and her friend pop in as they were close by. I quickly got out of my pjs and got dressed again! 🤣. How good to see her, relaxed and happy and ‘over the moon’ to have finished her degree.
She had been to see her mum, taken little sister out for the day and seen her twin brothers . She has missed us all. We’ll have a family gathering soon, when dates agree with everyone. There are so many of us, it’s tricky!
Today I’m going swimming with ds1 and family to the local sports centre. They have a free pass for a guest. I used to be a member, but as I’m away a fair amount of time, I cancelled. I’m looking forward to it.
Hoping today is good for us all 🌻
Cross stitch... ah yes, a good idea Marydoll.
Good morning everyone from sunny Severnside.
Two photos Mizuna twice as nice. I love a leafy fabric.
I’m carrying on with painting my front room today. I’d rather be in the garden but I made the decision to do it early September so for once I’m sticking to what I said. I’m browsing for some new curtains as well, no luck so far.
Have a lovely day all and enjoy family celebration’s 🌺
Good morning, it’s 10 degrees and very Misty here, hopefully the sun will soon burn it off.
I did too much in the garden yesterday and had to come in and lie down, such a wuss! But it was too hot and I should know better. MrOops came out and finished pulling out the marjoram plants that had taken over part of the veg plot, don’t know where they all came from but they were huge.
Salmon, some salad and new potatoes for lunch. I also use chicken bones for MrOops stock for his soup.
We were out with MrOops mate the other day when his phone started ringing mine (again it was WhatsApp) his phone was on the dashboard of the car and he hadn’t touched it. Weird.
Have a good day in the sun everyone, love to those who are worried, stressed or unwell.
Good morning to you all.
DGD3 had her 2nd 5th birthday party yesterday, this time for her friends. The 14 girls were a delight and the weather meant it was in the garden phew! I was there to help. DGS2 was a bit overwhelmed at age 2 with the number of small people invading his space.
Sago the wedding venue looks gorgeous.
GM unbelievable what you are having to put up with.
Lovely to hear from Urms and Kalu lately. Ashcombe all the best for your DH.
The week ahead is looking really good. Better late than never.
Mizuna
What does Dollie make on your sewing machine Marydoll? I suspect I'll be asked for ideas next time my granddaughter comes!
Mizuna, she actually hasn't made anything yet, but yesterday the spool had run out and I thought it was a good opportunity to introduce her to the machine. Her mum doesn't sew.
I was also thinking of cross stitch.

Good morning from a brightening and warm Colchester.
I need to go to Aldi this morning for a few bits but am only catering for myself this week as DH is fishing and DS is back to work this afternoon.
I'll walk across the park this afternoon to watch the carnival. It's not the old fashioned floats but more Notting Hill type dancers celebrating the ethnic diversity of the area.
Love to all 🦩 x
Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, nowhere its 16°C already,
I'm glad to hear MrC is improving and his care has been excellent. Onward and upward.
I didn't get a chance to get back yesterday to send Granny Somerset, Georgesgran and Taichinan my best wishes yesterday.
Mick, why don't you factor in a short walk each day, to help with your fluid retention? Too much sitting is not good for one's heart, it's about a balanced approach. ( Says she, who always overdoes it!)
It took hours to get to sleep, owing to tiny person 😍 hogging most of the bed horizontally. I decided to go on my tablet, but had great difficulty seeing, when a leg was thrown over it!
Her dad said she was too old to sleep alone, but she insisted she would sleep with gran. I love when she cuddles in.
Mizuna, yesterday, I showed Dollie how to fill an empty spool on my sewing machine yesterday. I never thought of making lavender bags!
I've no plans for today, just chilling. Papa will take Dollie home and stay to watch the football with DS.
I usually go too and have lunch, but I'm taking a rain check, It's been a busy week and very fulfilling, but I'm paying the price. I'm quite light headed today, so a day of rest, as per doctor's orders, when this happens.
A promise was made to go to the swing park, I think papa may need to do it.
Wishing you all the best of days, whatever your plans.
Glorious golden morning with church first thing and then DS arriving for a flying visit - not seen him since the beginning of June so think he feels the need to check up on me. We are lunching at an excellent village pub, so all in all a treat for me, especially having him on his own.
Glad that the * Corners* are in such capable medical hands and hope there are no more excitements to contend with. Lots of food related comments this morning making me hungry so must get up and get the day started.
So far just involves sweeping the paving stones that made me chuckle loopyloo.
Good morning from an increasingly brightening Black Country.
Ater a dull start yesterday we had glorious sunshine in the afternoon. So we had a BBQ in the evening and sat outside until almost 10pm!
No real plans today, MrJ is off on a cycle ride, so I shall go to gym, then potter.
A surreal moment gM . I was just out of bed yesterday around 8am which is late for me. My phone rang, but I didn't answer as I hadn't put my hearing aids in. It was a missed call from my friend she called me by mistake, the phone was in her pocket and it decided to ring me. She was worried she had woken me, but I assured her she hadn't.
I too use chicken stock, to make a lovely chicken and vegetable soup, which usually lasts us 4 days for lunches.
Lovely to see you posting Urm you are often in my thoughts
Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Today we are visiting DH cousin in hospital it's now 3mths since he fell in the garden and still he has no use in his legs, the feeling in his hands is there a bit but he can't feed himself as he can't hold anything. His wife is there every day all day so that he gets fed it has been known for her to arrive and breakfast is untouched because nobody has been to him.
After our hospital visit we shall visit my brothers who both live that way so it will be a full on catch up day.
I hope Sago had a lovely day yesterday.
It's lovely to see Urms with Matt bringing us a daily smile.
I shall now catch up with everybody's happenings enjoy your Sunday everyone whatever your plans and may you all find ☀️
Good morning from East London, Beautiful sunshine already.
DH is now on annual leave, DD has gone to her main home, DGD is here and DGS is at his girlfriends.
I need a chart in the hall to say who is in residence.
Yesterday did dinner for the Dgc. was to be spaghetti bolognese but no spaghetti so was a mixture of pasta that I called Diversity . They enjoyed it.
Today everyone will be home so chicken and veg roast.
I am working on making a Zen area in the garden. So far just involves sweeping the paving stones.
Have a good day .
Hope cold better soon, Mick
I also make stock from chicken carcasses
I dare say none of you will be surprised to know that I don’t!

Good morning from a cloudy W Kent. Family lunch today and a chance to catch up and give DS his birthday present as we will be away when his birthday arrives. Two DGDs starting 6th form tomorrow, how time flies.
Best wishes to all
Good morning from misty Foxyland where as soon as the mist burns off, it will be very sunny.
Yesterdays trip to Norfolk was lovely if tiring ( 2 1/2 hours each way) but the hound coped well. She loved the freedom of the huge walled garden in the grounds of the old rectory where D and SIL have their bungalow, it was the only safe place to let her off as the gardens are not dog proof and the rabbits would have had her disappearing over the horizon. So the hound contented herself by making straight for the fishpond and falling in - several times before she got the hang of drinking the slimy weed filled water without total immersion. SIL is fortunately both a dog person and a patient man and fished her out with D supporting the back end . TG she is short haired and it was warm and sunny , drying off for the use of! She then decided to roll on a mole hill and finally to try to dig out some the rabbit burrows in the shrubbery round the walls.
We were both zorsted by last night and the hound will probably be glad of a quiet day at home while I go to Les Troyens at the Proms, meeting my sisters in law for lunch in S Ken first.
Wishing you all a pleasant day , with kind thoughts to all those with illness or worries to cope with.
(PS I always boil up my chicken bones for stock, sometimes even making it with “cheap ish “ chicken wings. I also bet you wish you hadn’t said that!
)
Morning from high cloud in S Hants, 16 and a heavy dew. How bizarre gMattie, entertaining though!
Lovely pictures Greyduster thank you.
Hoping the wedding day was glorious Sago and all went smoothly.
More tomatoes to pick later, a walk then meat draw in the local. As the forecast is so good this week I’ve booked dinner on the beach for us one evening, I’m looking forward to it.
Gammon in the slow cooker tonight (that stock will be saved too llfl, another 🐥 stock maker here).
May small pleasures brighten your Sunday 🦩🦩
Good morning everyone from Inverness where another lovely warm day is forecast
Gorgeous pictures greyduster well done with the walking
Looking forward to our regular Sunday video call with DS this morning, after that I’ll be happy pottering in and out of the garden. It’s my happy place and there’s always lots to keep me busy.
Enjoy your family celebrations today WWM a very Happy Birthday to your DGS 🎂🎉
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
