llf guess what I’m going to do with my chicken carcasses😄😄 I bet you wish you hadn’t written that now.
Also very weirdly, we are intending to go to a pick your own next week to pick guess what!! Raspberries and plums - but also to see what else they have - early squashes?
I’d better go and lie down in a dark room!

Morning Mick, morning All. A clear sky over our corner of Somerset with warm sunshine forecast.
The ECG confirmed the tentative atrial fibrillation diagnosis for Mr C, we were seen by a very reassuring GP who discussed treatment which has begun. Can’t fault our huge GP practice, very fortunate to have the care available on a Saturday. For once I didn’t grumble about the need to travel to the most distant surgery.
Quiet day ahead for us. I’ve a book to finish, Mr C will no doubt return to his jigsaw, if he feels like it we’ll walk from seat to seat around the development no doubt finding folk to chat to.
Another mozzie-magnet here, ash, hope the irritation subsides today. You were brave tackling the M5 yesterday, karma, we drove over it and could see miles of virtually stationary traffic. Hope you get to your painting grandmab, good to have time for yourself. Your phone experience made me chuckle grandmattie, it is wonderful to be able to make those calls though.
Hope there is some lightness for us all today.

Ladyleftfieldlover I make my own chicken stock. I have done for years.
👍
Good morning from a sunny and warm South Downs.
Family get together today at our house to celebrate my eldest grandsons 23rd birthday. Only 8 to eat which is better than usual. Other family members are on holiday etc. doing a couple of roast chickens and stuffing a La Delia with pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce etc. grandsons girlfriend is making an ice cream birthday cake. She made my son a highland cow cake for his 50th a couple of weeks ago and it was marvellous.
Set to be a good week so I will enjoy every minute - winter is so long. - although autumn is a magical season.
Everyone seems in fine fettle which is good to read
Peace and harmony to all
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from the Yorkshire coast. We are off home today after a final mooch around. Yesterday the menfolk went coasteering and DD and I went for a walk up the coast path. I had factored in some steps, but not the long steep brutal climb into North Landing, which finished me off. Worse still, having got up, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to come down again so we found a different gentler way to come back and lived to fight another day. Spectacular scenery. The sea looked calm and very inviting. GS assured me it wasn’t as calm as all that where they were!
LLFL, I’m another who makes chicken stock from the carcass.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning from Shropshire.
Yesterday was sunny and very warm by the afternoon. We are promised the same for most of this week.
We had a lovely day yesterday. While DGD was at sewing club DH, H and I went to our favourite vegan cafe.H loves it as he can choose anything off the menu as there is no dairy or egg obviously. After sewing club we all wandered round the shops, bought a picnic lunch which we ate in the park and then the children did arts and crafts at a stall in the square.DD made a meal for us in the evening when we dropped the children off.
Love the lavender pouch Mizuna.
Today is laundry and getting things together for our trip to Scotland later this month.
Thoughts with Taichinan, GrannySomerset and Georgesgran💐
Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday Sago.
Have the best day you can everyone🌺🦩
Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.
I also make stock from chicken carcases.
We are off to the nearest Lakeland shop today - apparently there is a sale! We are treating ourselves to new knives.
Ladyleftfieldlover I make my own chicken stock. I have done for years.
Ah, now it's there twice!

Good morning everyone there’s the promise of a warm and sunny day here on the east coast of Fife,
I’m off to church today it’s a voting day to see if my church will link with another close by.
Have a good day my friends
Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Elder son and his family are here. After an early lunch we are going fruit picking! Raspberries and plums I think. I have a batch of chicken stock to make, which I’ll put on first thing. I don’t know anyone else who uses chicken carcasses to make their own stock.
Have a good Sunday.
Good morning from a dry Cornwall with some blue sky and sun coming, hopefully not too hot. Yesterday I showed my seven-year-old granddaughter how to use my sewing machine and in no time at all she had made a lavender pouch (pic attached). She's a very careful, thoughtful child and learnt the machine's ways very quickly. It was delightful to watch.
Today I'm off to church at 4pm. Someone has apparently hung Day One of my creation paintings so I'd best check it out. The other five are still in my workroom. Will take a bus to the seafront before that.
The mozzies absolutely love me too Ash!
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 14° and cloudy. Ash mosquitoes are the down side of warmer climes, I suppose. I hope your bite subsides quickly. GrandMattie what a strange thing to happen!
Yesterday was such a lovely day. Washings and housework done and dgs2 entertained for an hour or so. Dgs1 did well at his swimming lesson and really enjoyed it. I visited mum at night and we had a nice chat. It was sad to see one old lady who was desperate to get out. She obviously has a type of dementia and was very angry at being locked in against her will and asked me to let her out. Poor soul.
Today will be a quiet day because I have a busy week ahead. I'll do a small ironing and make lentil soup in the slow cooker. Then tackle my painting. I keep saying that and don't do it! Roast chicken for dinner. Have a good day all
Good morning , heat and sun are coming to s somerset
Back to normal today and the M5 was a complete nightmare coming home but I am home and that is the main thing. Not too much on my plate today, just finishing off pre-washing a few new fabrics and hopefully I can muster enthusiasm for a bit of exercise, either early or late today
Have a good day
I agree, Ash, with the freedom of calling overseas for nothing. I remember, in the early 1970s, when I first came to England, calls had to be booked and cost at least £1/minute, the quality was usually atrocious. This was at a time when my net salary was some £90 per month. As you can imagine, I didn’t call my parents in Mauritius very often.
Good morning from a warm and dry Sarthe.
Yesterday afternoon the temperature exceeded 30 degrees, making the coolth afforded by the thick-walled house very welcome! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside but inevitably the mosquitoes have found me, with one bite causing a swollen area of two inches across. An ice pack and antihistamine cream have soothed. A minor discomfort compared with what many others here suffer.
I hope you had a wonderful day for the wedding yesterday, Sago. What a beautiful setting!
I had to smile at your neighbour’s WhatsApp mishap, grandMattie! But isn’t it wonderful that the Internet can be used to make overseas call that would have cost a fortune in the past, using traditional methods of communication?
Thinking of those with sad anniversaries at this time. A blessed Sunday to all. 🦩💐✝️😎🦩
Good morning from Bristol. We are promised sun/warmth today. Would be so nice after this dreary summer.
I finally gave up my patchwork square. Everything was the wrong mismatching size, so I ditched everything again and shan’t be ambitious for some time.
While I was at the church coffee yesterday, my phone went. To my surprise, it was one of the residents. She was trying to call her son in Australia on WhatsApp! Neither of us knew how she got to me nor how to get out of it. We had a hilarious few minutes of muttering to ourselves, overheard by the other, pressing every button in sight until, by magic, we somehow managed to end our call. It was very funny.
Today, after church, I have a meeting with a parishioner to organise a “bring and share” Harvest lunch on 1st October. I offered help, and found myself one of the organisers.
I hope all the travellers keep safe and those in need get some comfort. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
Good Morning Everyone,
Its still dark in brackley but remains dry .
Today , try to get a regular routine , maybe some laundry to do , followed by a double dose of cycling on TV on two separate channels.
I am also hoping my health improves despite a cold .
Take Care,
Mick
