Good Morning Everyone,
A twilight but dry start here in brackley , yesterday did not make outpatient appointment due to Diahorhrea which plagued me most of the day .
Today , meals delivery , then see how things go .
Take Care,
Mick
Urmstongran, thanks for bring Matt back, always give a chuckle.
Urms DH and I are enjoying reading Matt again and have decided we must get the book at C….,,,,,,
Good afternoon from a sunny, hot north of Scotland. Sitting ing the fresh air enjoying coffee and toast. Been absent with Covid yet again.
Delighted to read good news from Ash, enjoying Sago’sholiday very much and pleased Urmstongran is posting the hilarious Matt.
Best wishes to all.
I forgot to add that like many here, my heart has nearly burst with love and pride at the pictures of little (and not so little) grandchildren, scrubbed and polished in their new school uniform ready for that first day! 😍😍😍
Good morning from British Columbia Canada. Nice to have a site for Grands to chat with.
A late good morning to you all.
The sun has now broken through and the temperature is beginning to climb. I’m enjoying this burst of warmth and blue skies. It won’t be with us for long, so trying to make the most of it.
Hope your stomach is more settled today mick and hope you can have a new appointment soon.
Such good news about olddudders ash. It’s such a relief, isn’t it, when waiting for results to then hear that the news is good?
I haven’t read everyone’s posts yet, will go back and read them, but wish you all a good day.
Good morning from a pleasant Co Armagh

Get advice Michael
Glad to see some good news from many
Missed the first meeting of the Wednesday club today , my cold is still at the infectious stage
New but worse system at our Surgery. I rang and held on for 30 mins , the very nice Receptionist took note of my symptoms , she will pass this on to the Doctor , who will NOT ring me !! But will decide if I need medicine and I have to ring back this afternoon to find out !!
Rumour that the surgery is closing down is being hotly denied on line and in the hyperbole you have to listen to before you get moved up the queue 🤷🏽♂️
🙏🏼🕯️💐
En route to Scarborough just now to stay with DHs sister. Not sure what chance I’ll have to post.
Have the best day possible w
Good morning from a misty West York's.Good news Ash .We have to pick up Gs from school at 11.30 he isn't a new pupil but same tomorrow full day Friday .Sago your travels have been interesting thank you.Stay safe all.
Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire, where it is currently 20°C and rising
I buckled down on the workshop reorganisation yesterday until I got too hot. Really looking forward to getting on with some projects.
Today I have a dentist appointment, just a routine checkup so hoping no work needs doing.
Have a good day all whatever you’re doing🌻
Ash great news about your DH. Looks like another nice day in Central Scotland. Yesterday we had a lovely day trip to St Andrews. It was a very pleasant temperature not to hot (is it ever in St Andrews?) but sunny blue skies and a gentle breeze. Lovely walk at the beach. Meeting a friend for coffee soon then GD2 comes in after school. Today is the day we take her to her drama class later and a parent picks her up from there. She loves it, it has grown into quite a big organization and puts on wonderful shows. Enjoy the sun while we have it.
Beechnut that did make me laugh and reminded me of my sister buying something with a blade at DIY shop. She was flattered when they asked her age thinking she looked youthful however the chap explained there was an over 60 discount!! Exit one crestfallen 55 year old
Morning all
Haven’t posted for a while. A lot going on in and around GravyGrange.
Sorry to hear you are poorly again Mick
Good to see you Urmstongran
Brilliant news regarding your DH Ashcombe
My condolences Sar53 on your family loss, I do hope your GD’s are ok.
Sago what an adventure 👍
Will try and catch up folks 🙋♀️🦩
Good morning from an unusually bright Eden. Some of our schools must be open as I could hear chatter outside at about 8a.m. The bus goes round all the rural villages before dropping off in town. One GD 's school safe and open and I am waiting to hear about the others as one is known to have the wrong concert.
I persuaded DH to take to the hills and my lovely neighbour opposite saw me hobbling and came over and we sat in the sun porch having a good moan about the NHS. Sorry for all of you who have major health problems and hope you can cope with the heat.
Heard all the plans for GD birthday party at the weekend over lunch and then I hate to admit I went into the cool lounge and slept until DH came in.
Thank you for the travel log and photos Sago the viaduct reminded me of the Pont du Guard we saw a few years ago . DH and one DD walked along the top whilst the other DD and myself looked the other way. I hope you have a calm crossing.
Lots of admin to do today and appointments to shuffle, the food order to put in or we will have empty cupboards. DH likes using up but does not replace.
Happy day to all.
Good morning all from a grey and cool Angus coast. The dastardly haar charged in like an express train at about 6.30 yesterday evening. It's supposed to burn off this afternoon - we'll see! It's just the downside of living on the east coast.
Sorry you had a bad day yesterday Mick and hope today's better
Great news Ash 🍾🥂. So pleased for you both!
Mizuna I did chuckle at your story of your brother and the pears! I do love the innocent interpretation of instructions which allowed him to do what he wanted to do, bless him.
Grandmattie your instructor is right and there are countless types and forms of tai chi and qigong. Have you thought that perhaps you could start up a class of your own, perhaps with your fellow residents? It would save you that 25 minute walk and you would be doing the form which you enjoy. I remember you used to say that you led the class when the instructor was off, where you lived before?
A lackluster day for me here today - the low cloud has that effect on me! So another coffee methinks while I try to make up my mind whether to wear summer or autumn layers today 😉
Enjoy your day everyone, whether sheltering from the sun or looking for it ☀️🌞☀️
Good morning from a hazy Essex coast, I believe it will be very hot later.
I hope you feel better soon Mick.
DH has taken the car to have the brake pads replaced, he is not happy as he has to get two buses to get home. I don't think he has ever used his bus pass !!!!!
I have lots of admin to do today.
All five granddaughters back at school from today although the three that lost their Grandma on Monday are a little subdued.
Hopefully today will be a good one for you all xxx
Good morning from an overcast NE.
I have had a poor night, my innards have been upset since Saturday but during the night they were really bad and I had to get up several times to attend to my stoma.
SIL is coming to take me shopping and I need to sort out a problem with the bank.
Take care all
Good morning from me too. As BlueSapphire and Ginny have said, misty hereabouts (and pleasant with it!) but the sun will burn that off in no time.
After my exhausting weekend of Norfolk, Proms then Harry Potter, I was ready to do as little as possible. Gastric problems of the “dire rear” variety (TMI) meant I did just that as I could not stray out of the house and actually spent much of the day “resting my eyes” as the hounds do.
I feel a little more human today but still very washed out. The heat won’t help so it might have to be my book or Netflix!
Shopping arriving at noon I hope but other than that a peaceful day - apart from next door’s builders .
Kind thoughts to you all.
Another too hot night so a rather slow start for me. Singing this afternoon after a month long break and I hope it’s not too unbearably hot, but nothing else planned and just keeping cool will be demanding enough.
Good morning everyone from a grey misty Northampton, but the weather girl on the radio has told us they the mist will burn off, and give way to sunshine.
Yesterday morning had an email from the fencing company saying they hoped to fit me in by the end of next week, and were there any days I couldn't do. Emailed them back to say next Thursday was inconvenient. Then while I was out on my health walk, had a phone call from them to say they could do today! So here I am up showered and dressed early to await their arrival!
Yesterday's health walk was a shorter one due to the warm weather, and also because we wanted to try a different cafe. This one, a little pop-up one, is attached to a local charity shop, which is housed in an activity centre for adults with learning difficulties. We had a long chat with the manager of the activity centre who told us that the cafe would close for the winter at the end of the month; however they would still be happy to accommodate us every other Tuesday, and provide drinks and cake especially for us!
Sat in my garden under the shade of the pergola when I got back, intending to read from my Kindle, but the battery was flat. However I remembered a few magazines waiting to be read, so spent a couple of happy hours doing that, and completing their puzzle sections.
Good.news for you and oldd, Ash; much relief all round.
Bed to change this morning, and washing to do. After that I'll go with the flow today; probably will be providing drinks for the fencing men; they won't get biscuits, as I'm nearly out of them!
Wishing all a pleasant Wednesday.
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
I set off for my lunchtime concert today (50 miles), outfit ready, music prepped, music stand in car and will have a warble as I drive along. Not sure which route to take as there have been heavy roadworks on the bypass.
So sorry you had a bad day yesterday Mick and hope things improve.
Excellent news Ash and thoughts to all with troubles 🌹
Good morning all from a hazy start in Glasgow, weather wise and mentally until my kick start espresso wakens me up.
No plans for today gives me a rare opportunity to please myself. As temperatures are due to rise to 27deg, basic housework done, I will head into the garden to a comfy chair placed under a tree for shade with my latest book.
I’m so pleased to read your good news this morning Ash, a great relief. 🥂Slainte to both of you.
Hoping a good day is ahead for all and a better day if possible for all with worries/illness to bare.
Good morning from Durham. Another lovely day in store. I’ll get another load of DD2’s laundry done.
Coffee with a friend this morning. She was at her cousin’s funeral yesterday, so a few tears, I expect. She’s having a hard time too, as her DD has gone down with pneumonia and has a newborn to care for.
Must drop a prescription off later and take my sunglasses into Specsavers, as they fell apart yesterday as I picked up DGS1 from school and the screw was lost.
Some pottering in and out of the house later and a dog walk just before dark.
Good news Ash you must both be so relieved.
Commiserations Mick you seem to take one step forward and two back some days.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 15° and cloudy. I expect that will burn off later. Mick I'm sorry that you are out of sorts. I hope it settles. Ash excellent news for your dh. It'll be such a relief for you. Cornergran I hope you have a nap later. Susan your poor dgd.
Yesterday was a lovely day with dgs2 and later dgs1. We did go to the park, fed the swans, played in the play park. He was the only small child in there so had free run of it. Then home to walk to the swings and then play in grandma's garden. He had a good two hours nap later. I contacted someone to take away rubbish from my garden and he arrived promptly and got rid of it. The place looks much better now. By Friday night it'll look even better as all the hedges and trees are being trimmed.
Today I'm meeting friends from art club for lunch at Nick Nairn's restaurant. I look forward to that. Then home to tidy away all the outdoor toys. Chicken curry for dinner. Have a good day all
