Today is a very sad day

It's the hardest part of having a pet...to know when it's time to let them go but it is also the kindest and final gift we can give them...in thanks for all the love they give to us. All of us will be with you in spirit today.

Such a terrible decision to make Katek but it is made out of love for your beautiful Boy.
He was so lucky to have been so loved and you are doing the kindest thing for him now but many of us know how very hard it is to say Goodbye. 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Very sad day for you and the family. . I know. We had to do it for our beautiful softie Rottweiler. Called the vet to the house - all of us were beside her to say our goodbyes and of course, we were crying. But the Vet and his Asst were so disrespectful. As they carried her out to the Van, they were joking and laughing. Not very professional.

Thinking of you today Katek. Your boy has had a good, long life and it's his time to go. I'm pretty emotional typing this as I'm looking at my deaf and increasingly frail eighteen year old cat and know I'll have to be making the same decision as for her soon. Sending you a virtual hug.

I feel so sorry for anyone who goes through the pain of losing a believe pet. Store your wonderful memories in the knowledge that he was happy and you gave him a good life.

So sorry Katek. What a handsome boy. We did the same for our girl Rosie three weeks ago. She couldn’t walk anymore. It’s heartbreaking isn’t it. Last week I had to have my old bearded dragon Brian put to sleep too. I didn’t expect to be so upset but I was heartbroken. I ‘acquired’ him as a baby 10 years ago and me and him were a team. I always think that if an animals has tears shed for them after they’ve gone - they’ve been loved and had a good life. Take care xx

So very sorry for your loss

I had to do this four weeks ago cat not herself vet investigations found multiple tumours and I had to have her put to sleep less than 24 hours later. My heart is sore for you , mine is still breaking. She must have had such a lovely life with you I’ll be thinking of you today

Same with my Margot, kidneys few weeks away from her 20th. We kept her going for about 3 years with meds but in the end she gave up.
She had a lovely day laying in the sun on that last day, looking into her garden .
She was ready to go, I carried her to the vet it was sad but peaceful she knew we all loved her.

These special creatures come into our lives and leave massive paw prints within our hearts.

So sorry to hear it is coming to the end for your beautiful cat what a lovely photo you posted and a great memory for you to have. Be gentle with yourself after the vets you will be feeling so sad. I am still grieving the loss of my fifteen year old female dog after her death 6 weeks ago. I could not bear to take her into the vets surgery and he came to the house and it was a great comfort for me to be holding her in my arms for her final moments. (I say holding her in my arms although her head and front body was in my arms and the rest was comfortable on the sofa as she was a larger size dog) Take care of yourself such a sad time when beloved pets have to leave us
