Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but a dry start here brackley this morning.
Today easy day in and will do general housework before lunch ,and then usual cycling on TV.
Health wise slowly improving but like I have been told it will take awhile.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a dry at least but very windy Glasgow.

Our letters arrived telling us to book our covid/flu vaccinations. As it isn’t possible for DH to attend the venue his district nurse will visit to vaccinate both of us. NHS at it’s best at every step caring for DH and support for both of us. I will be forever grateful for everything his team are doing.

A stay at home day today, food shopping can wait until tomorrow, we won’t starve and I have talked myself into having a pleasant foutering about lazy day.

My thoughts will be with you this afternoon Multi💐

Wishing a pleasant day to all and hopefully a bit less stressful for those of you coping with troubling times and worries.

Hollysteers an am dram I used to be a member of was in a very small theatre where the stage was barely a couple of feet from the audience. Regularly the front row would stretch their legs and put their feet up on the stage!

Good morning from a grey damp - with a promise of rain - Angus coast. It's colder indoors than it is out!
Yesterday was lovely though and two loads of washing were dried. They also got ironed and put away - but that's not to say I tackled the ironing pile 😉. It's still there in all it's tempting glory.
Nothing else to report - a quiet life is being enjoyed.
Multi 🫂.
RoseandLilac so glad you have obviously been able to find a solution to the problems caused by the card fraud, but it has obviously left its mark on you. I'm sure you'll be able to lose yourself in your painting and feel much better for it.
Mizuna what beauty your artistic eye sees around you in the simplest of things! Such a joy.
And Marydoll it's good to hear you had a better day yesterday and feel the better for it in yourself.
Reading my book cleaning out the fridge is top of my rather boring To Do list today so I'd best be up and at it I suppose, and I won't allow my book to come anywhere near me til it's done!
May everyone feel comfort, joy and gratitude - and some ☀️ - as we go through today x

Good morning from a grey and damp Northampton, more rain forecast later, so it will be a day in for me - lots of rugby to watch later, plus last night's match which I recorded.

DD-out-law popped down yesterday with younger DGD's new school blazer, so that I could sew her new year colour onto the lapel (they don't seem to do sewing in their house!). DS will collect it today.

Very much enjoyed DD's Proms concert last night in beautiful surroundings. We are lucky enough to have one of the only two round Knights Templars churches in the country (the other is in Cambridge), and we sat surrounded by history as we listened to glorious music.
Met and sat with two friends from my wine club, and we arranged to go and see Jesus Christ Superstar in Milton Keynes next month.

A day in today, pottering, reading the papers and watching rugby.
Thinking of multicolour at her service this afternoon.
Have a good Sunday everyone.

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It is damp after overnight rain.

Not a lot on the agenda today. A quick clean up and then see if the weather improves. DH will be watching the football this afternoon. I think I shall carry on reading my book. It is part 3 of Craig Revel Horwoods autobiography. Talking of which whilst watching Strictly last night whilst it was still light I was distracted by several rabbits being playful outside!

Thoughts to you today Multi 💐

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Quiet day today. Last night to our local theatre for mystery play. Regular attender behind me has a distinctive laugh, a guffaw much louder than the comedic moment warrants. It gets to be a bit irritating and two bright things at the side put their drinks on the STAGE! Shock horror😳 Enjoyed it though.

Finally emptied my suitcase, leaving bits in for next trip in a week to the Isle of Man with DD and DS, taking some of my DH ashes, a bittersweet journey.
Thinking of you multi, you are not long bereaved and thoughts to all with troubles.🌹

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire where it is currently 17°C and breezy.

I’m propped up in bed drinking a big mug of tea. My balance has been dreadful this last week and I haven’t been sleeping well. No real plans for today, another lazy Sunday chez nous.

I will go back and read the thread now, wishing you all a restful day 🌻

Sar53 Sun 24-Sept-23 09:33:08

Good morning from a bright and very breezy Essex coast.

I am spending the morning getting things ready for our holiday on Tuesday. DH has gone to rugby with his grandsons. One of them is 10 today so we will visit later for birthday cake.

I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday xxx

harrigran Sun 24-Sept-23 09:29:36

Good morning from the NE where we had overnight rain.
Slept in this morning after a busy day yesterday.
DIL and GD1 came after uni open day and we had a lovely evening. DS and GD2 stayed at home because she had a virus and had stayed in bed.
I am having my covid vaccination this afternoon, decided I didn't want the flu one at the same time, if I go to the GP you don't get a choice.
Have a good day.

GrannySomerset Sun 24-Sept-23 09:11:17

Today looks as grey as yesterday was golden but the weather won’t affect me. Yesterday was lovely with DD and DSiL with the highlight a trip to look at new interior doors, my next project. They go home after lunch but the company has been so good and we are up to date with one another. Hope others are as lucky.

Jacs7 Sun 24-Sept-23 08:54:46

Good morning everyone from a dull and cloudy north Kent; think it’s due to be sunny later on.

Yesterday was spent tidying up the garden and today promises more of the same. I am much more sensible nowadays and do gardening in small doses rather than working all day and ending up with back trouble. It’s very hard to be sensible though; I dislike leaving jobs half done, but it’s better than spending a fortune with my osteopath.

Hope you all have a good day
.

Marydoll Sun 24-Sept-23 08:51:40

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 12°C, much warmer than yesterday.

After a dreadful Friday, to my surprise, yesterday was a good day, healthwise, they are becoming few and far between.. It's all relative, when I say good, but it does give me a boost.

DD and SIL popped in after their 'flu and Covid injections, with a cornucopia of apples. Guess what I will be making today, GMattie? Thanks for the inspiration!
SIL wasn't due his 'flu jag until next month, but a nurse approached him, while he was waiting for DD and asked if anyone in his close family was CEV, so he got both. This seems to be the new protocol here, the same thing happened last week to DIL2.
It's ironic, because I can't get mine until next month, because I had a Covid booster in April. Pitt, fingers crossed you fell better.
Later we saw Dollie at the Vigil Mass, where she informed us, that we were looking after her on Tuesday, because the schools are closed, due to strike action. She has homework to do, so mummy thought I could do it with her !! Clever mummy. 😉

Brook your trip sounds wonderful, I would have gladly accompanied you as your interpretor!

Gingster, I'm going to see if I can get that book! That sort of story is just up my street! Many years ago in Rome, DH and I filmed our own version of Angels and Demons, we had such great fun! At one point, DH was holding my legs, as I hung out our hotel window, trying to film a helicopter flying over the Vatican,

Corner, I hope your friend is not too ill, safe journey Ash and multi, I hope you find some comfort today. 💐 I remember meeting your lovely man at one of our Burns Supper meet up. Happy days!

Have a good day folks, I'm hoping we will see Babydoll today, she has been away her holidays.
Best wishes and prayers for all, who are struggling. I am always afraid I miss someone out.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s overcast and cool.

I had to turf out several teenagers from the shop yesterday. There are several benches and large concrete flower pots outside where young ones congregate, they can be noisy, and our door always stands open, but that’s ok. Late in the afternoon though they began drifting in in pairs and threes and commenting loudly on the displays and the mannequins, eventually there were about a dozen of them. I stood in the middle of the shop and equally loudly told them that it was late in the day, I was tired and not in the mood for messing about so could they please go. To my great surprise they all trooped out quietly after which I locked the door and made a cup of tea. Well seen I’m leaving next week.

I’ll think of you this afternoon multi, I hope you find the service a comfort.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning all from a grey and damp North Leicestershire.

More pootling and faffing today, with the first roast in the new cooker.

Sending love, support and best wishes to everyone with worries and troubles.

Morning all the sun is shining and the wind is blowing in my corner of S E Essex.

I have been awake since 6am reading, now waiting for DH to bring up a cup of tea (#lazygran)
Nothing on the agenda for today other than roast pork for dinner this evening.

multi 🌸

Have a peaceful day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning from a bright & breezy Sefton. It is damp under foot from overnight rain. Hoping for a dry day today as we seem to have accumulated rather a lot of washing 🤞.
A successful trip into town yesterday. We rarely go in on a Saturday & now I remember why - it was very busy. We heard lots of different languages, saw quite a few hen parties & football supporters. There may have been a cruise ship in. It's good to see the city buzzing. I remember the neglect of the 60s/70s/80s only too well.
Covid jabs for us this morning in our local pharmacy. We had our flu jabs earlier on this week. That'll be us fully jabbed up for the winter. No plans for today apart from getting some washing out & continue with garden tidying.
Thoughts with those struggling with life. Good to see you & Matt back Urms. We have missed you both.

Gingster Sun 24-Sept-23 08:38:55

Sounds like you got your money sorted RoseandLilac ?
Have a relaxing break away.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
I slept badly and am off to have my covid Jag (and flu) in a few minutes so I will be back to read later,
Have a good day everyone,

RosesandLilac Sun 24-Sept-23 08:27:59

Good morning from wet south Gloucestershire.
Sending 🤗 multicolourswopshop
A longish car journey for me today, I’m away for a few days. My enthusiasm is muted, partly because my oomph has evaporated, but it will be nice to be somewhere different. I’m not sure how much en plein air painting will be done with the weather forecast rather mixed!
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a very damp, grey South Yorkshire. It’s going to be wet all day. I managed to get my front rockery trimmed and weeded yesterday. The heathers are coming into their own now and there’s still a lot of colour in it. But all the bending and working on my knees took it out of me and I ache this morning. Nothing much to do but some cleaning today, and to finish some homework for writers group. DS would have come down for the football today but they have just come home from a cruise and have stuff to do before work tomorrow. They have plans to drag me along on one next year. I am making plans to hide in a cupboard!!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 24-Sept-23 08:24:31

Good morning from a bright and breezy South Downs.

The dog needed an urgent toilet visit at 5.15am so we’ve been out (with torch). Now I’ve been back and cleaned out the fridge, cleaned the oven and all the kitchen work tops. And bread is proving. That’s me done for the day! I shall potter for the rest of the day.

Yesterday I did very little, as my umph has left me for a while - it will be back - I just go with the flow.

Mediterranean fish gratin today

Peace and harmony one and all.

Jaxjacky Sun 24-Sept-23 08:10:29

Morning from a damp S Hants, plans to wash bedding and garden work are now for tomorrow. Yesterday I sorted the cupboard under the stairs, as well as being a food store it tends to be a convenient place for all sorts. We watched a very tight rugby game last night, well done Ireland.
Safe journeys to those travelling, enjoy family and friends meet ups, thoughts with those poorly or sad.
