Scents you like that other people find odd and vice versa.

The smell of new carpet is always nice, washing dried outside, roses and favourite perfume aromatics elixir.
Not like smell of petrol, domestic or imperial leather soap. I will cross the road rather than walk behind anyone smoking, vapping- yuk not breathing that filth.

I love papers ... and love their different smells.
Occasionally there's one I don’t like - but that's unusual these days.

I am surprised so many don't like the small of barbecued meats!

The small of tea makes me heave, I love the smell of old books.

I love the smell of cigars they remind me of my dad, also pipe tobacco. I also like the smell of methylated spirit he used to use to run his steam engines he built from scratch. I like the smell of cut grass and bonfire smoke. I dislike the smell of celery, or the smell of barbecued meat.

I never used to like anything vanilla. Sickly, until I likened it to ice cream and now I love vanilla air fresh, coffee etc etc.
Love the smell of petrol, fresh cur grass, car engines, Youth Dew, it’s not a case of using it like air freshener but a little drop is very strong I’m afraid. Clinique’s Happy, Lots more that will come to me eventually. I hate the smell of body odour and damp clothes.

Dislike the smell of Poison perfume - gives me a headache. But Youth Dew was my mum's favourite perfume so like smelling that. Don't like the smell of coconut in moisturiser etc but like eating it.
Love the smell of real coffee but don't drink it. Love the smell of seaweed - the stinkier the better!

Freshly ground coffee - strangely always smells better than it tastes !! One perfume I absolutely hate is Patchouli. I think it degrades and eventually smells stale and dirty. Lingers on clothing too.

perfume-parlour.co.uk that produce a perfume called ‘Woodfire’ which is a favourite of mine. They do a very reasonably priced small sample size that I can wholeheartedly recommend approx £3 !
My number one detestable smell is Garlic 🧄 in all it’s forms I can detect it 6ft away 🤮

I'm not keen on the scent of vanilla either, though I like the flavour in most things.

I have come to dislike the smell of perfumed washing powder, cleaning agents and house sprays because I am allergic to the perfumes used and become ill if anywhere near them.

I like the smell of hot tar, tarmac being spread etc. wood stoves, cigar smoke, but dislike the smell of stale beer or spirits.

I like the smell 9f cigars and pipes but not cigarettes. My mum loved the smell of petrol but ut makes me nauseous

I absolutely hate the smell of Youth Dew (Estee Lauder' ) and can smell it a mile off- baked cake is the best smell - just having watched 'Bake Off'!!

Like Georgesgran I love the smell of lillies and DH detests them. We live near a farm and when they are spreading sillage it makes me baulk , yet I get told it just smells like old grass what do I expect.
My gran's house and drawers smelled of lavender I tell myself I like it but find the top of the garden is the best place for it. It reminds me of old ladies underwear drawers when I was little.

I love the scent of Patchouli and like the smell of coffee, bacon and onions.

I used to live in Hull many years ago and hated the smell of hops from Hull Brewery.

Dislike - Vanilla scented candles, or vanilla scented anything - yuck. The smell is really sickly.

Like - The smell of baking bread and proper coffee, though neither actually agree with me. The garden when it is warm but it has just been raining. The soiley smell that you get in Autumn

The smell of glue in our local shoe repair shop almost knocks you over when you go in. I am sure the owner must be permanently high!

Same here for likes and dislikes.
Hate the smell of walking past a Shoezone, tho I have bought shoes there now and again.
Thinking about it I really hate the smell of petrol, nauseous.

I love the smell of methylated spirits as it reminds me of my mum who was a health visitor . I also love the smell of bleach as it takes me right back to swimming when I was young swimming in the local pool . We have a wooden summer house and the smell of the wood in sunshine is lovely .
I too love the smell of coffee but do not drink it .

Love the smell of meths. Hate the smell of milk cheese yoghurt etc. I absolutely hate the smell of the perfume POISON gives me immediate headache.
