I phoned the firm today that DH bought a refurbished laptop from a month ago and told them that the battery seemed to have died the day before yesterday and that we had tried using the flex from my laptop of the same make to make sure it was the battery not the transformer or flex that had developed a fault.
The man I spoke to said, "I'll send a return address label to your husband's e-mail if you would take the trouble to send the computer back If I can repair it, I will, i f not, I'll send a similar laptop that does work.."
I agreed, wrapped the computer and flex up, weighed the parcel and went to the post office, expecting to have to pay postage.
I handed over the addressed label, the clerk scanned the code and said, "Just put it in the GLS bin please, the postage is paid."
Now I call that good old fashioned service!
So cross, my poor dried up potsβ¦.
