I just realised that after 53 years I am going grey, unfortunately for me hair dye just no longer sticks to my frail damaged hair. What can I say that 80's were wild. Is anyone else having the same Issue? oh and sue where are my biscuits?

There’s a long thread on Forums under beauty on grey hair, if you want some ideas.

I'm white-haired. I'm 57 and have been white-haired for about 7 years. I'm not bothered by it. Though a lot of people do give me strange looks because of it! 🤣 Usually the ones who are still dyeing their hair and trying to convince everyone that that is their natural colouring! Lol

Just let it go grey!

It’s very liberating.

I wish mine would hurry up and go! I've had grey bits for years, and it's not in the least becoming! All over grey or white looks so chic to me.

I let my grey come in about 10 yrs ago and now both my daughters in their early 50s are doing the same thing. It doesn’t bother me or them and it’s very freeing not having to retouch roots every month or so.

I am Snow White and it is still curly so I’m not bothered its been gradually going white for years. I did use a temporary colour shampoo occasionally but didn’t see the point. I don’t like the look of roots needing redoing I can’t be bothered with all that involves.

For some unknown reason at 69 I still have dark brown hair except for two small grey sections either side of my fringe. In photos these look like receding bits of scalp; I would much prefer an elegant all over silver or white! I bought a spray to cover these bits but always forget.

I’m in my 80s chough and like you would love to go silver.

What is this about the biscuits?
And fancy asking on Gransnet if anybody else is going grey?

Redhead -are you like Mae West who is alleged to have said “I used to be snow white , but I drifted” ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My hair is silver grey, but it is soft, thick and beautiful not frail and damaged. Perhaps a good cut would help the OP.
