Weird fungi!!

That's quite a cluster!
It spreads underground, we had some in the lawn where we had a tree removed.

a group of honey fungus. They are parasitic and live on tree roots etc, they end up destroying the tree which might be several metres away

Seen on the grass verge outside our road. The mound must be 40 cm wide - I’ve never seen anything like it! There’s another, smaller one too.
I dare say some GNer will know what it is.
