You have £100 and must spend it on yourself, what would you buy?

I already get my hair done every 6 weeks, I have plenty of clothes and jewellery, and enough electronic equipment.

Whatever would I spend it on?

In the good old days I would probably buy a Record Album or 2, film for my camera, a couple of good books a new pair of shoes…….

Over to you, you can’t put it towards household expenses or food.

Make them an offer.

I fancy one of those tang drums but can’t justify it. This would pay for one.

i have my eye on a second hand dressing table on FB marketplace but it's £120 and I have £95 to spend.....this is a real life dilemma

Make them an offer . If it’s been there a while they may accept it.,

I was thinking I have enough stuff but another JoLoMo limited edition print, perhaps.

Ninjanana2 Sat 04-Nov-23 22:16:08

A piece of artwork. A painting, sculpture or ceramic. And flowers, lots of expensive flowers😍

Oh dont know if there would be enough money but would love a very good massage for my back and to yjrm nr sn;r yp doy om s jacussi type bath where the water would bubble against me. Go home with some lovely linen sheets to rest in comfort. ! Well chance would be the thing!

Kartush Sat 04-Nov-23 22:04:08

I would buy craft supplies

Well done Kathmaggie I considered going for Cardiff tickets and booking a hotel but it is difficult because I am in Sheffield and I go to gigs with my DD who is single parent to an autistic son who wouldn't like to stay anywhere overnight except with her or me. So all the venues named so far are a little far away. We are keeping our fingers crossed for some more venues to be announced nearer to home.

We saw him last year and he was brilliant. Hope you have a great time.

But truth be told I'd probably share it with my daughter on a lovely restaurant or afternoon tea !

Gangan2 Sat 04-Nov-23 21:24:30

Either a nice coat or some Elemis skin care .

Stewpot100 Sat 04-Nov-23 19:46:14

I can think of loads of things. Put towards a dental check up, I'm long overdue. A nice coat, as I'm currently going without.

I'd buy 100 scrachcards and live in hope?

😁

I like your optimism!

jenpax Sat 04-Nov-23 19:29:14

Having just moved house my finances are stretched so 100% on my hair

Oh Gundy that sounds perfect. I would do that too! There is nothing nicer than sharing it with someone.

I would buy myself a proper gym bag (instead of my Sainsbury's plastic carrier)....and a pair of those wet shoes for in the pool (cause they've got some spiky tiles)....as I have just joined a gym for the first time ever at the tender age of 68. Yes, I've become a gym bunny. The rest I would put towards "something shocking in Lycra". I'm loving this close fitting gym wear and wish I could afford it, especially as I started off by cutting all my leggings off at the knee and wearing baggy tee shirts to hide the slouch pouch. I'm starting to look a bit smart in the gym as the weight falls off and the muscles are arriving! Don't be fooled......I only do the easy stuff.

Grammaretto

Boots for me or maybe some good quality trousers.
If you have a pamper day do you not have to have somewhere to go with your new facial?
I know nothing about this kind of thing as you can guess.

You shouldn't have make-up applied or go anywhere special after a facial. The massage stimulates the skin. The creams get absorbed and then all the impurities come out afterwards. So your make-up would end up looking greasy and why would you want to clog up your pores with make-up after having them cleansed.

Perfume or a lovely tote bag

Unigran4 Sat 04-Nov-23 15:40:18

I am in exactly this position. I was given £100 as a Christmas present last year with instructions to spend it on myself. The cash is still in my sock drawer!

Pearlsaminger Sat 04-Nov-23 15:26:45

A subscription to Ancestry or My Heritage I think… they’re so blummin’ expensive to purchase.

I keep wondering if I can justify paying out for it… but not this year I don’t think.

So, maybe next year 🤞🏼

PamQS Sat 04-Nov-23 14:57:20

I’d put it towards a new winter coat, which seem to be way over £100 at the moment! I’ve managed the last few years by layering my clothes to keep warm, but I’ve nothing to put on the top layer now, as my trusty wet-weather coats and jackets have fallen to pieces.

Hear hear

SynchroSwimmer Sat 04-Nov-23 14:41:18

Clarins blue orchid facial treatment oil, it makes me feel good.
Temple Spa bath oil - I use it as perfume

Gundy Sat 04-Nov-23 14:38:45

You said no food… yet that was the first thing I thought of.

A small gathering of 2 or 3 of your best friends (no family) over a Holiday tea or luncheon that you hostess at a very nice restaurant or hotel, decked out for Christmas.

To me, sharing the spirit of the season over good food/drink with friends is the ultimate. (Even if you have to throw in a few extra £’s to make it happen.)

Or - think of “acquaintances” that may be less fortunate than you, extending your goodwill and cheer. You would probably make their day and season. What a good feeling!
Cheers!

I’ll go with Casdon on her tour of the mint if I may ? 😊
