You have £100 and must spend it on yourself, what would you buy?

I already get my hair done every 6 weeks, I have plenty of clothes and jewellery, and enough electronic equipment.

Whatever would I spend it on?

In the good old days I would probably buy a Record Album or 2, film for my camera, a couple of good books a new pair of shoes…….

Over to you, you can’t put it towards household expenses or food.

it probably wouldn't stretch to both, but
1. Someone to cut the grass, prune some trees and clear up the garden which has flourished too much - - thanks to all this rain

2 Someone to clean the house!

( I live on my own)

£25.00 on yoghurts! I LOVE Onken and Muller! £25.00 on books! £25.00 on a box of Strongbow! And the other £25.00 on a huge fluffy fleece!

I'd like to buy a Guernsey sweater but I think they may be more than £100 now. My DH bought me one years ago. It was so warm and lasted for ages.

Woolovers do a nice looking one in several colours

hmmm that would be difficult....need a new winter jacket, need new winter boots, a jumper or 2, one of those oodie things would do, own brand is acceptable, not had my hair cut for about 18 months, my socks have seen better days, as has my underwear.
So for those of you who don't need the £100 please feel free and send it my way, I could spend it 3 or 4 times over.

CrazyH, I would agree to that too
Would I be able to use it to get oven cleaned ??

Personal swimming lessons and a really well cut costume so I didn’t feel like a whale. I’d love to swim well, can float otherwise just flounder around.

Gold ring with a semi precious stone.

Oh Graygirl, I could have wept when I read your post. I hope you have the good fortune to be able to afford the shoes soon. 🤞

Easy... more beads and more findings and string for my volunteer work (Beads for Babies on Facebook). Like I don't already have enough for several lifetimes.

I might put it towards one of those small bounce trampolines that I’ve been considering getting. Useful for exercising on days when it’s not fine enough to get out.

I'd need a subscription to Tena too! grin

Or perhaps a whole house deep clean?

GrannyRose15's idea of buying flowers regularly sounds great to me, or perhaps a few houseplants that would last for longer.

Mallin Sat 04-Nov-23 12:24:00

I’d put it down as deposit on a balloon day in the sky. For next summer

An AirB&B night just for me by the sea and a long walk - no wifi no phone - just a good book and plenty of chocolate … peace and relaxation … recharge my battery.

Oh £100 would pay for a cleaner for a couple of weeks. I would be very happy to do that.

My husband is from St. Saviours Guernsey, we get a good deal when we go over to family, kit the kids out and the gran kids.

granma47 Sat 04-Nov-23 12:11:25

This happened to me last year and I bought a new garden bench (added a little more to it)

Jess20 Sat 04-Nov-23 12:09:13

I've been on a pamper day at a spa and hated it, felt like being in hospital and at least the latter are tryind to get you out of the door asap

Godiva chocolate, which I absolutely love but is horrendously expensive.
