After dinner last night, I settled down to order some last minute (yes, I know😉) Christmas presents from the John Lewis site. Collection from local Waitrose.

This has been the time frame -
19.30 Order placed
22.38 Order is 'leaving our warehouse'
12.34 today Order is ready for collection.

As always, this service has proved exemplary-
or can anyone improve on it? 😁

I have had items delivered by the demon Amazon in that sort of timescale. Absolutely amazing (but yes, I know it’s down to huge numbers of people working all hours for minimum wage).

Yes i can beat it. I live 4 minutes away from a Sainsbury’s which has an Argos in there. I ordered a Samsung tablet in the morning and collected it 2 hours s later 👍🏻

That's really good and will make me go and look later!

My young son was marooned alone in Liverpool L1 during lockdown and had a PlayStation delivered to his door from Argos within 2 hours.

Better than Holland & Barrett anyway - we ordered just over a week ago and haven't heard anything yet.
