Chocolate ginger first and no interest in pink wafer and equally bourbon.

Abernathy. So hard to get them.

Border biscuits dark chocolate gingers or ordinary digestives. I’m not keen on any wafers, pink or otherwise or bourbons. I used to like nice biscuits, but the ones you get today are claggy rather than crisp.

Cow biscuits are Malted Milk biscuits and l have always been partial to them as they come with happy memories. When we went to stay with our grandparents, the adults would have their morning cup of tea while we children snuggled up to our grandparents and were given a cup of milk and two Malted Milk biscuits.

My father worked for McVities so as children we were spoilt for choice but for me:
First off the plate would be plain rich tea biscuits. (Also loved dunking them in tea)
Left on the plate would be any jam biscuits.
Must admit as an adult I never buy packets of biscuits never have them in my home. Thinking about it, interestingly, my son never has them in his home which means my grandchildren never have them. I wonder who buys packets of biscuits now? We do buy brownies and large cake like cookies. Just not old fashioned packets of biscuits.

By reading GN and all your good news, info and advice I’ve learned that your biscuits is the name for American cookies. BTW - a cookie that has added egg(s) can still be very dry and crispy, altho it is a richer taste. Can also be a wetter chewier cookie depending on other ingredients and baking times.

American biscuits are a baking powder dough (flour, shortening, bp, touch sugar, cream, (no egg) that can be made plain and used for breakfast - butter/jam or have a sausage gravy poured over (delish!)

American scones are a version of the bp biscuit altho a bit dryer and richer, but has additives - fruit, nuts, herbs, and optional sugar sprinkle or icing drizzle.

Then there are very dry cookies here as biscuits. Often times they are used crushed as crusts for tarts or pies. Biscuit cookies also used in trifles to soak up a lot of that goodness. They also make good dunkers in tea/coffee.

Am I missing anything here? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m getting hungry!

Florentines if they are considered to be biscuits, but if not then chocolate coated crystallised ginger biscuit are tops for me. The bourbon stays on the plate .... but I also like "hairdresser" biscuits (Lotus Biscoff) and those dark chocolate coated rich tea type ones Bahlsen? - actually I just love biscuits! ... except Bourbons! I love chocolate so don't know why - I don't like chocolate ice cream either - weird!

I'm also a chocolate addict but can't stand chocolate ice cream. So either we are both weird or connoisseurs.

Always make my own biscuits - favourites are shortbread that melt in the mouth

Take chocolate fingers, leave the rest. Not a biscuit fan.

Bourbon first every time. I can't really think of a biscuit I don't like though I very rarely buy any unless I'm making a cheesecake. I only make them for visitors

I'd take a ginger first and leave the digestive on the plate.

They'd all have to be GF but I'd start with digestives or malted milk and leave the jammy dodgers. Husband says he'd start with stem ginger and hazelnut cookies (posh plate, his) and leave the Nice.

I’ve yet to find a biscuit I don’t like and as I’m greedy would probably eat them all! (that’s why I don’t buy them!) 🤣😂
