Imagine a plate with all the different varieties of biscuits on it. Which would be your first choice and which one would you leave until there was nothing else? My first would be a Nice ( not easy to find these days) and I would leave the chocolate bourbon on the plate.

Please don't make me choose between Ginger Nuts and Custard Creams as first choice as it is according what mood I am in. Bourbons would stay on the plate until they went mouldy.

Take lemon puffs and leave bourbons

CocoPops Wed 08-Nov-23 20:00:09

To answer CrazyH in the US biscuits are what we Brits call scones.

I am very partial to a Rich Abernathy. Thankyou very much
The pink wafers would be given to the birds in my garden.

Tunnocks caramel wafers for me. I find Hobnobs too sweet.
DGSs love those tiny iced rings.

Shortbread first and leave the iced rings.

I'd choose a custard cream and leave the fig roll.

Shortbread and malted milk biscuits would be eaten first. I would leave anything with cream in the middle.

I d take hobknobs (great dunkers) and leave anything with chocolate on, not keen on chocolate

Greyduster Wed 08-Nov-23 16:35:07

Imwould leave any kind of pink or other wafer, and Garibaldis.

EkwaNimitee Wed 08-Nov-23 16:34:32

Border biscuits dark chocolate gingers and I’m another not keen on wafers, pink or otherwise

Greyduster Wed 08-Nov-23 16:33:52

Border dark chocolate gingers. But am also happy to settle for plain digestives and Aldi malted milks.

Tesco have got lovely lemon shortbread fingers atm. Mind you, they are £2 a packet, but really good quality.

They also have delicious chocolate chip shortbread but only 6 in a packet for £1.40. Used to be 9.

Anything coated with thick chocolate (Fox’s are good) but as a T2diabetic I hardly eat them. Would not leave any on my plate 😂😂

Theexwife Wed 08-Nov-23 16:14:58

Nice and iced rings would be my leave on the plate, very surprised that Nice would be a first choice.

First choice would be chocolate digestive or if alone and dunking would be a rich tea.

Stansgran Wed 08-Nov-23 15:49:31

That was to CrazyH. I like M&S digestives and would leave custard creams, pink wafers and fig rolls.

Stansgran Wed 08-Nov-23 15:47:54

They are their version of scones and they are served at breakfast with “gravy” . But I haven’t been to the US for years

nadateturbe Wed 08-Nov-23 15:47:43

Chocolate ginger first. Custard creams left.

crazyH Wed 08-Nov-23 15:38:10

When Americans say ‘biscuits’, what do they mean - are they savoury?

dogsmother Wed 08-Nov-23 15:36:28

I’m rather partial to a lemon puff, but I’m also rather contrary so another day it could be a plain chocolate digestive or today’s treat a fortnum and mason stem ginger.

Callistemon21 Wed 08-Nov-23 15:35:36

Chocolate chip cookies first, pink wafers left on plate.
