Good morning from a dark, but slowly brightening Black Country.

A lovely walk round Kinver yesterday with a walking group, then coffee and chat in a cafe there. The weather was sunny with bright blue skies.

Today I am taking Mum to lunch to meet up with her younger sister and her Niece.

Hope you hear positive news today Mizuna
Sad to hear about your friend Cornergran she has a good friend in you.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning from the NE where it is 7 degrees.
Workmen installing fibre optics have been in the street since 6.50, noise is awful, throwing fencing into back of wagons.
Thankfully I slept last night as the night before I only had about two hours.
I had to ring the bank complaints department again as I did not receive the forms they said they sent out ten days ago. It is now six months since I tried to open this ISA. The complaints manager said she was going to print off the forms and personally see they were sent out and I will have to sign for them today.
The POA is still not sorted, the solicitor took six months to draw up the papers and has warned ne they will probably take a further five months to be authorised.
I have a plumber coming tomorrow to look at the toilet that has not been working for 18 months and now other parts of the bathroom are falling apart.
Times like this where DH could get people to listen to him, as a woman I seem to be invisible.
Noise outside has stopped now, will go and make a cup of tea.
Hope you have a less stressful day than I am expecting.

Good morning from a grey but dry Colchester. It's been mild and damp overnight, which I know as I've just put the bins out.
Charity shop volunteering day as it's Tuesday.
Toad in the hole with mushrooms tonight.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning all from North Leicestershire where I think it is raining.

Sing it Happy choir this morning and a trip to the fish van in the next village this afternoon - I live an exciting life.

We did really well with Christmas shopping yesterday - only a few bits left. Well, I haven't sorted DH 's yet but.....!

Good morning from the South Downs, which sounds very windy out there. It must be coming from the N/E ish as the bedroom faces that way - so no doubt chilly.

We are hopefully in for a few dry days so will make the most of it. If time today I will finish planting the tulips.
mizuma do hope you receive a successful phone call.

Veggie today - so crispy polenta and roasted squash cake with veg.

Peace and harmony to all

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Still dark in South Yorkshire. I have been tossing and turning since four. Finally gave up and picked up a book for an hour. I managed to take my camera to the country park yesterday but the weather wasn’t wonderful so photo opportunities were few. We seem to have had a very good crop of swans though; juveniles were everywhere. This morning I will put a stew in the slow cooker and this afternoon I have something new to do so I hope it goes well.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a calm and dry Torbay.

The director was pleased with the rehearsal last night and our carols sounded ok despite there being only three of us for some scenes. Three weeks until we open!

It’s good to hear positive reports from Mick and grandMattie. I hope you hear the news you want, Mizuna and you continue to benefit from taking time out, Susan56.

I hope another good day awaits you, Grandmabatty and you enjoy Avebury, cornergran. I usually sleep better after a walk and fresh air. My birth was registered in Marlborough as I was born in Savernak Hospital and lived in Upavon until I was five. We regularly visited Devizes as my grandparents lived in a nearby village.

Props team for me this morning where we shall be busy, following the end of a play last week. Enjoy whatever you do! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from still dark South Lanarkshire.

More angels to be crocheted today and I’d like to get on with my book. I seem to have lost the knack of being able to enjoy reading anywhere at any time.

Good luck Mizuna.

Have the best day possible everyone.

cornergran Tue 21-Nov-23 06:31:10

Morning Mick, morning All. Can’t see what it’s doing out there, the forecast is for a grey if dry day.

Our recently hospitalised friend will be assessed today and know if surgery for aggressive breast cancer is possible soon or if she needs further recovery time . We’re very worried for her, she has begun to experience panic attacks and living alone is finding day to day life difficult.

Hope for positive news for you mizuma and you can move out of limbo.

We’re going for a trip to Avebury today, one of our favourite places. It will be muddy but no matter. May also browse Marlborough, see how the time and energy go as sleep remains elusive for me. Fortunately Mr C has no trouble at all sleeping. I’m so envious!

Good to hear you feel so much stronger mick and your major renovations are moving along grandmattie.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Good morning from Shropshire.A dry day forecast.

Thank you for all your supportive comments yesterday. It meant a lot.

Yesterday I had a long walk and then in the afternoon alternated reading and napping! This morning a friend is coming for coffee and this afternoon more relaxing and reading.

Have the best day you can everyone.🌺🦩

Grandmabatty Tue 21-Nov-23 06:24:25

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and dry. Mick I'm glad you are on the mend. GrandMattie you are a positive inspiration! I don't know how you have the energy to do half the things you do. Mizuna fingers crossed for today.
Yesterday was a good day with the boys albeit long. Today is slightly less long. No doubt dgs2 and I will go out for a walk at some point regardless of weather. Have a good day all

RosesandLilac Tue 21-Nov-23 06:07:18

Good morning, it’s another damp start here on the edge of the Cotswolds.
Yesterday we went to Westonbirt arboretum and had a lovely walk with the dog. The sun came out and it was really pleasant.
I’m definitely going again, it’s not too far from here.
Today logs are being delivered and I need to start tidying the garden for winter - hopefully it’ll be drier weather this week 🤞🏻

grandMattie Tue 21-Nov-23 06:07:13

Posted too soon…
Just wanted to wish everyone the best day and contentment in their lives.

Good morning from a dry Bristol.
The dehumidifier is on, drying my hall walls, ready for the painter on Thursday, I think. There were drips of plaster everywhere, all over my tiny flat. Easily removed, but pink splodges on the floor, the doors, windows, under shoes…
The work is taking so long because two things are being done, firstly the rotten floors etc., are being replaced in the bathroom, secondly, a ridiculously narrow cupboard in the hall has its stud wall removed and the hallway widened. The work being done is excellent, all the workers brilliant, amusing and hard working.
The Lino floor went in the bathroom. It looks wonderful.
The plasterer who is doing an OU course, was listening to a lecture on Schopenhauer rather than mindless music! We have interesting chats.
I finished a cushion cover with a German Shepherd for my lovely plumber’s girl. I think he will give it to her for Christmas. I also started on drawstring bags to put my three quilts in, with the girls’ initials. It will save wrapping, and they’ll be useful as games kit bags if they don’t keep their quilts in them.
Today, I’ve got some shopping, finish the bags and chill for a bit.

Good morning from Cornwall. It's dark, very still and looking damp. The first double decker of the day will trundle past my window in four minutes. Today my surgeon's secretary is ringing me with the decision about my op. I spoke to her yesterday and heard her children playing in the room next to her home office, very sweet. Life feels like it's on hold until I hear what's going to happen. It's my grandson's 14th birthday today, not sure where that time went! Will catch up with him on Thursday at an extended family meal.

Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Todays plans are to get the bus to Bicester do my usual cafe stop , maybe a beer then do a shop.
I am expecting some parcels in post or other this week , so will keep an eye on emails relevant to them.
I seem to be more on the mend ,and able to walk without being breathless after a short while like last year .
Take Care,
Mick
