Hello all, I would appreciate some advice. I have cataracts in both eyes, and am currently wearing varifocal lenses (also tinted to protect against macular degeneration). I'm confused as to how cataract sugery is done in this situation - do you have to choose either long-sighted or short-sighted lenses and still wear correcting lenses for the other aspect of your sight? And what about macular degeneration protection? At first I was enthusiastic but now doubt is setting in.. what would the consequences be of not having the op???
Any experience much appreciated!
