Attendance Allowance Update

Good morning all! I would like to thank those of you who kindly gave me advice and guided me through the application. My husband had to complete the forms for me and your pointers helped a great deal.

I'm somewhat stunned this morning as there has been a payment into my bank account despite not having received any correspondence. I can't believe that it has only taken little over a month! I'm guessing that this is back paid from the date of application plus 4 weeks for the next period.

I wonder if it's possible to be paid weekly rather than monthly as this would fit in with my regular budget. I shall contact DWP today.

I'm going to have a strong coffee now and let this sink in!
