Good Morning Saturday 2nd March 2023

Ooh March already! Seriously, good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
The snow is still lying. It's very cold.
I'm taking my DD and DGD to the theatre today to see the Snow Queen, in Scots. I am looking forward to it.

Yesterday I took part in an evening craft fair which was most enjoyable. It was in a warm church hall and we were served tea and mince pies.

There's still one bank in our town of 20,000 but not my bank. The PO will allow deposits, cheques etc and has a cash machine.
I use cash whenever I can. Keep cash alive!

Good morning from a very frosty Torbay! This isn’t supposed to happen - someone should tell Jack Frost that this is known as the English Riviera….!

Do take care if you’re travelling especially as roads are less likely to have been gritted, given the state of local council finances. I’m not looking forward to my drive to the theatre this morning, a distance of about three miles but inevitably including hills! A few of us are supposed to be decorating four Christmas trees.

Good morning from a very cold Moseley! Last night's Nutcracker was simply magical - can't think of another word.
All sporting activities seem to be cancelled for today but ballet and gymnastics are still happening for 2 GC and then I think we may be going to a Christmas tree farm for their tree.
It's very quiet, so hopefully back to sleep for a bit for me with no canine "hottie" to nudge me because somebody wants breakfast! Keep warm, keep safe everybody. 🥶

Good morning from a sub-zero, very misty Bristol. At least, it is neither raining nor windy. I don’t really have the right clothes for weather this cold.
I still haven’t got the hang of those night storage heaters, but I’m not cold in the flat.
Yesterday, I had a lovely brisk walk in the frosty sunshine, to my Spanish class. Last but one for the year.
Rushed lunch then a “focus group” in a church meeting room for a PhD student requiring attitudes on water/power saving, making a difference without affecting lifestyle. It was very cold in that room; I came home with blue, numb fingers.
I immediately set out to make some biscuits for the church coffee morning today, I’m serving this week.
I caught up with a programme on Jeremy Paxton and his Parkinson’s. It was very interesting, especially his attitude towards it. Sharon Osborne was particularly touching.
Today, apart from serving coffee, I need to make squash soup and a lemon drizzle cake for tomorrow’s lunch with the family. They are coming to lunch then, we’ll have the Grand Opening (note the capitals 😂) when my neighbours are here!
I hope everyone stays warm and content on these first few days of Advent. May you all be showered with blessings - they are there if you look for them, however hard life May appear to be. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩.

Good morning Mick, I think your calendar has had a bit of a slip backwards.

We have a light covering of snow here in South Lanarkshire. My DGD has a netball tournament in another city, I’m hoping that there will be no difficulties with travel.

Not much on the agenda though I really must get Christmas cards written, I know I’ll feel better once it’s done.

Good morning from a freezing Cotswold hillside, it’s-5°, very foggy and apparently there’s black ice on all the roads around here and we’re supposed to be driving to Wales shortly…… Not looking forward to it.
It didn’t get above freezing here yesterday, but the dog and I enjoyed our afternoon walk in the weak sunshine. Our shadows were long and thin, quite unlike me in real life!

Good morning everyone from a very cold east of Fife where it’s below zero. I’ve been off gransnet for a long time due to a technical hitch but I’m back on again and on good form. I’ve missed my gransnet forum.

My friends I hope you are all keeping well. I’ve had a busy few months and I’ve got my beautiful Christmas tree up and decorated by my handsome grandson.
