Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, and raining at the moment here in brackley on top of the cold air .
Today will depend on the weather as to doing what i usually do, if it remains like at present may go out , otherwise grounded if it turns to the worse .
Take Care,
Mick

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Grannyme6 Mon 04-Dec-23 21:47:25

LauraN. 😊

gillgran Mon 04-Dec-23 19:18:27

LauraNorderr, thanks for posting & sharing your tree, &, of course, your other ornaments. ann's lovely comment has cheered me up on this dark & wet Monday. smile

Impeccable taste in toilet brushes Grannyme

Grannyme6 Mon 04-Dec-23 16:26:38

LauraN - snap!

Georgesgran Mon 04-Dec-23 14:48:23

One year, I decided on a one-stop House of Fraser Christmas. In the end, I got so fed up being followed around by the store security, I told him he might as well make himself useful and carry my goods until I’d finished shopping!

annsixty Mon 04-Dec-23 14:35:26

What an improvement Laura
Worthy of any Christmas display 😉

Mizuna Mon 04-Dec-23 14:11:59

'Can I just point out to any newbies that BlueSapphire is not a shoplifter 😂'

Thanks LauraN for the laugh. Reminded me of making the rookie mistake, when I moved to Liverpool, of pushing a shopping trolley around a shop with my backpack in it. Was trailed by a security guy who suspected I would fill the backpack with things I'd 'slipped off the hanger'.

LauraNorderr Mon 04-Dec-23 14:00:05

No offence taken Ann, was a funny observation.
Is this better?

annsixty Mon 04-Dec-23 12:09:23

I was mortified after I pressed post in case I had offended you.
Honestly it was the last thing on my mind😰

LauraNorderr Mon 04-Dec-23 11:57:51

You got me Ann.
Saved a few bob in Poundland

Good morning all from a rainy Algarve. Actually for the last week the weather has had spells of being rain free ,even a glimmer of sun then just as you think it will definitely be fine, down comes the rain again.
I hope it will improve by next weekend when both daughters are visiting.

I haven’t read any posts yet but couldn’t help seeing Urms lovely Christmas card to us all, it made me laugh out loud. I hope the day is not too hard on you Urms.

Things are moving with DH. Tomorrow he has to have a chest X-ray, an ECG and then in the afternoon go back to see the anaesthesia secretary. That’s if we got the messages right. Daughters may still be around if we get any more news.

Absolutely crying with laughter here!

Good morning, Earthlings!

It's 6C. here in little Appleby at 11:09am, and the snow is melting and VERY icy! I was going around to the Co-Op but there's a big dent over the bridge and one outside the pizza place so I won't risk sliding on it and breaking my hip! Will go to Spar instead for my Snickers fix!

I had a good day off yesterday, didn't crash out of bed until 9:50! Went to Spar in the morning, then at home the rest of the day guzzling mugs of PG Tips...which reminds me to get another box today... and building a clock and creating a plastic flower bouquet!

Grandmachrisy47 Mon 04-Dec-23 11:14:57

Morning from a wet Co Durham.
Spent so long reading your post I’ve hardly time to post myself.

So many mentions of writing Christmas cards, I must do mine.
RosiesMaw, that happens a lot in our small town. Always requests for doorbell footage.
Fab tree, Baubles.
Marydoll, I still think your an inspiration.
Hope the poorlies improve.
Safe travels to those on the move.
Might wield a duster ( or not).

annsixty Mon 04-Dec-23 11:08:42

By the way I love your jugs.
I collect them myself.

annsixty Mon 04-Dec-23 11:07:35

I’m sorry LauraNorderr but I can’t stop laughing, are you quite sure that isn’t a bottlebrush in disguise?
Do I now after leave GN in disgrace?

LauraNorderr Mon 04-Dec-23 10:44:59

Downsizing my tree in proportion to our new flat

LauraNorderr Mon 04-Dec-23 10:40:10

Good morning Mick and all from West Cheshire where it’s warmer but a little drizzly.
Hello Grannyme.
Lovely tree Baubles, I’ve never seen anything like it before, what a lot of hard work.
Pretty tree from you too Monk, getting in to the spirit.
Can I just point out to any newbies that BlueSapphire is not a shoplifter 😂
Wishing you all the best of days today.
Tough one for you Urms but will mean a lot to your friend.

Good morning from a slightly milder Glasgow 2deg. And light rain.

GD2 did well winning a 2nd place rosette but I could have done without the scary moment when her horse slipped on the cobbled yard as she made her way back to the stables, GD2 stayed calm and they made it safely back! Phew.
I took a short video of her receiving her rosette which she showed to her adored Grampa when we returned to ours.
Two outings today, dentist late afternoon and collect scripts. A pot of ham broth is now ready for lunch.

Have the best day possible all and hopefully a smoother day for those with continual worries and struggles ongoing.

Grannyme6 Mon 04-Dec-23 09:56:46

A late good morning to you all. More of a reader of this lovely thread than a poster, thank you Urms for including us ‘readers in your Christmas greeting. It’s good to be hearing from you regularly and like everyone else, I’m wishing the very best for you and Himself.
I hope the Essex grans a good day at Bluewater, I’m yet to venture that way but have it in mind for later this week.

Beechnut Mon 04-Dec-23 09:48:37

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s raining and I have got up very late.

Just a pottering day for me. That’s a lovely tree baubles

I understand your feelings Urms.

It’s a brollyday if you’re out and about ☔️

Good morning Mick and all. Snow? What snow? We now have rain and a strong north-easterly. If I could choose I'd pick snow and sunshine!
Glad the Grand Opening was so successful yesterday grandmattie. You deserve that lovely day - and your neighbours must bless the day you chose to move in beside them.
Yesterday I achieved everything on my to do list except for the tidying up after the paperwork! I'm lucky to be as fit as a fiddle (strange saying) but my stamina is decreasing with indecent haste. A long phone chat with DS2 broke my concentration and I couldn't summon up the energy to finish off properly. Anyway, that is my starting point this morning, along with a foray into town and Tesco's.
DS1 is keeping me well supplied with photos of the gorgeous little Ollie, who seems to be changing by the minute. He really is taking to grandfatherhood as a duck to water - it's lovely to see!
Glad you're enjoying your break in the Brecon Beacons RosesandLilac in your cosy little cottage. It sounds lovely.
Sorry to hear the Corners are still under the weather - you've had such a hard time of it this past year.
Love that patchwork tree baubles!
I've only just skimmed the posts this morning so forgive me if I've omitted to mention somebody. I think brook flies home to Inverness today - I hope it's not too bumpy a ride.
Now I really must get this show on the road, so have the best - and cosiest - day you can everyone x

Overslept again! Have a blood pressure check at the GP later this morning and a book group here this afternoon and am glad it feels much less cold or people would complain as the sitting room didn’t really feel warm enough while temperatures were around 0 degrees. Am impressed that so many have written their cards. Tomorrow’s job, I think.
