Who would want to go too all the trouble of teaching a young man how you like anything done not just in the home but in bed. They may have the stamina but that's all.
Decided after my husband died never wanted another man he was my one and only my other half of myself. Took me 29 years to break him in and we where married 22 when he died at 47 . Being widowed at 45 thought of being on my own for the rest of my life did scare me. But my husband was one in a million and was lucky enough to find the other half of me and he found his. Nearly 20 years since he died I miss and love him more than ever.
Also young people don't talk the same language we do. When did sick mean good. Sick means you are ill or vomiting.
Don't think that advert will sell more sofas.
But did love the Aldi advert from a few years ago where the older woman ( it's older never old) was saying her husband likes this tea I don't like tea I like gin. 🤣
Interesting. Would a fat slob of a smelly old man living in squalor who saved money buying a new sofa and spent the difference on hiring a teenaged live-in maid be the same "written humour that life has to offer." Would "most replies see the funny side of your comments"? Maybe to a man, it would.
Well Crusty....warts on ones nose and ten cats is the written humour that life has to offer. Most replies see the funny side if your comments. Tells me there's still life here......
The young man with the extremely muscular body was employed as her butler due to her saving so much on the purchase of her new sofa. His face isn’t shown.
I don't give things like this headspace. I neither like or dislike it, or give it a thought.
You can choose to be offended, your choice, or you can choose not to bother about it. To much else going on in the world. Adverts like this do not influence me one way or another, if I like I buy, if I don't I get something else.
The advert has achieved what it set out to do. Comment upon it Anyway think about it the Irish tell the best Irish jokes If you can laugh about yourself no one can laugh at you
Perhaps I’m just getting crusty in my old age but why is it deemed amusing to portray old(er) women as sex obsessed idiots. There’s currently an advert running showing an elderly trendy woman saving money on a car purchase I think, though I could be wrong, and using the savings to hire a half naked male butler. This is not the only advert of this type that’s been done.
If the advert showed an elderly man who hired a half naked woman there’d be an outcry.
Why is it absurd to think of older women still having sexual urges? I’m not sure if I’m explaining this very well but it seems we are being ridiculed by society. It seems a cruel caricature of older women. I suppose we are all expected to be dried up hags with warts on our noses living with ten cats.
