Looking on the bright side…

A year ago my fridge freezer packed up so I bought a new fridge and made do with my small freezer. Last week my microwave stopped working. While DS was trying to see what was wrong with it he managed to get it working again plus the fridge freezer which is on the same circuit so I now have two fridges and two freezers!

I stopped smoking last year, need I say more? You don't need to look far to see the bright side. Apart from the health benefits the money saved is astonishing! They're over £12 a packet so a smoker could possibly spend £300 per month. Surely there can't be many people who can afford that?

My previous neighbours of 40+ years has stopped calling me, despite my repeated phone calls and visits, when her husband passed away - so I have taken her name off my gift list but I have sent her a card - one less gift to worry about

Like holkysteers I hardly cook at all so that’s a plus.

Eye sight not as good as it used to be

Our boiler broke down about a week ago. But the heating people checked their registration for it and it still has 3 months warranty so cost nothing to fix this morning. We have heating and hot water again - yay 🥳🥳🥳🥳 If we had gone to the people who have been servicing it for us it would have cost hundreds. Now we also have new service engineers.

I haven't seen the sun for ages, it's been so gloomy and overcast lately. But my skin is benefitting from it.

I am a glass half full person, always was and always will be.

It doesn't matter what goes wrong, I can usually adapt it or myself to make it work.

It is a question of What is the alternative? the lousiest situation can be usually changed a bit if you look at it from a different angle, may be not much. I am a realist I do not look for great improvements or an ability to making everything great, but a question of beinggrateful for small mercies.

I tend to be a glass half empty sort of person but occasionally I have a PollyAnna moment.

It will only DH and myself for Christmas Dinner so we can have a full English which we'll enjoy much more than a traditional meal and is much easier to make.

Im always looking on the bright side . Yes crap happens in my life as it does all of us but i wade through the crap and find the glimmer of light and concentrate on that.
