I still remember a quote from a novel I read many decades ago - an American one, where the mother said to the daughter, ‘Remember, Susan (or whatever her name was) women who have to use their bodies to create an impression are vulgarians of the most cheap and vulgar sort.’ !!!

I would add to my post, never post anything you wouldn't want your estranged child to see if you want a reconcilliation. I talk about the effects of estrangement. To cut your own mother/father with no discussion, is plain cruel.
I think mental health issues is the reason for many doing it. A last resort I would think, they have problems and turn on those closest. Another big factor is the partner they are with.
Whatever, it is only they can do anything about it, the more you try the further away you get. Eventually as an estranged person we just manoeuvre round that big void and carry on.

Tattoos are utterly gross unless small and subtle. Men covered in ink look like lizards to me. Naff in the extreme. As someone said, it's like graffiti on God's perfect canvas.

Fashion wise - the pale skin tight leggings and tops. Pale pink on a girl I saw - thought was naked from a distance!

Those big holes in ear lobes, and all types of body piercings apart from earrings. Naff.
