Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet outside this morning in brackley.
Today for me will see me travelling to the JR at Oxford to the outpatients to see the colonial nursing team,as just over 6 months since i have had surgery , and I will update as to how I am.
Other than a journey break at Bicester for a coffee and a bite to eat.
Arriving home if things go to plan late afternoon.
Take Care ,
Mick
Baggs 💐 as if you didn't have enough to deal with.
I’m sorry you’ve been processing sad news baggs. Hard anytime but perhaps more difficult this time of year.
Good morning from not currently raining but still drippy and soggy Boggy Brae. I found some good wellies in a charity shop the other day that were the right size for me if I wear two pairs of socks. I might venture out for a welly wander round the garden – see what the deer have been up to.
Still reeling from some recent sad news about some of my relatives. Something that will affect them for a long time. Thankfully, I know they will have good support through all the difficulties. They'll need it.
All the best to those with health worries and appointments. I hope people get the treatment they need 💐. Good health is such a blessing. Let me never forget that!
Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 7°C and dry. It’s much brighter than yesterday. Hope your hospital review goes well Mick.
Yesterday was a good day. Despite having nothing planned I did quite a lot. I finished writing the Christmas cards, cleared some bedroom clutter then walked to the postbox and sent them on their way. The Christmas goodies from Kennedy’s Chocolates were delivered while I was on my way home so I managed to smuggle them in before MrB spotted them. I rang my sister for a good chat and confirmed Boxing Day arrangements. Lovely lemon chicken risotto for tea, early night.
MrB has gone shopping and I’m drinking tea and reading your posts. Safe travels Ash and Brook.
Glad the hospital visit went well Susan and good to hear from Marydoll.
Hope all those suffering ill health or looking after loved ones at the moment have some relief, you are in my thoughts.
Happy Tuesday 🎄
Update. MrB has just returned. He said the shops were not too busy but the traffic is a nightmare! I suppose I’d better go help him put the shopping away now
. The poor man has to put up with so much.
Good morning from a grey Co Durham, although the forecast is for sun and no rain. May change the bed.
I was done out of my walk to and from school with dgd, when her friend’s mum knocked on the door and asked if dgd could go with them. 15 minutes exercise I won’t get!
Safe travels to those on the move, happy holidays to those away from home. Hope all medical appointments go well. Marydoll nice to see you posting, hope you feel better soon.
Harrigran how unlucky sorry for laughing 😂
Have a good day.
Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast.
Managed my day in the city with old friend yesterday although my innards were in bad shape, which took the edge off the trip. Christmas market larger than ever and a lot of rubbish, but picturesque. The gallery was closed so had ‘lunch’ instead in library cafe. I had a quarter of a toasted ham and cheese chunky sandwich and brought the rest home for the evening, it’s all I could manage. Exchanged gifts, visit to art shop and came home. I’m glad my friend has made a good recovery from his detached retina/cataract surgery. Although his eyesight is not right, he’d just getting on with it. He was amused when I guided him to the escalator as if he was totally enfeebled.
Music club Christmas do this afternoon and I’m taking cocktail sausages and a dip. I’m singing a few seasonal songs but will be glad to get home. The stomach is settling but not right.
Hope your appointment goes well Mick and thoughts to all with worries 🌺🎄
Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton; been awake since 6ish, but then just dozed as I didn't really want to get up that early.
Yoga was.fine yesterday, everything done on our mats, no standing up and down, which I find difficult at the best of times. The last half hour was spent in extended relaxtion, called 'yoga nidra', a.guided meditation/ visualisation. But as our yoga twacher has such a quiet voice, and I was at the back of the class, I could hardly hear a word she said! So I sang Christmas carols in my head.... Afterwards we all went for coffee at the sports centre; it was.good to have time chatting, rather than rushing off after class.
Out today at an ex-neighbour's, for our annual Christmas lunch. There will be about 5 of us, current neighbours, and two ex-neighbours. We have known each other since our houses were new in 1993 and we moved in over the course of a few months. Some of us are still here!
No other plans for today, probably just reading; I'm enjoying the Cazalet Chronicles so much I have ordered th DVD! Don't remember seeing it on tv at all. Easy dinner tonight, fish and chips!
Hope all our poorlies soon feel better.
Morning from South Lanarkshire, blue sky ahoy!
I hope your journeys are going well brook and Ash.
I’m not sure where the time has gone this morning, I’ve been up since 7.30. That’s lovely baubles, having your DGD for two days, bliss for both of you!
Taichinan, thank you for your message yesterday, I’ve ordered the glasses from Amazon as you suggested and will give them a try, family wants me to stop driving at night so this is my last chance!
Mysteriously once I had looked them up on Amazon, an advert for the exact same ones popped up on my Facebook page, coincidence?, I don’t think so😳.
A lovely evening and start to Christmas last night when DD1 and SiL took me to Music by Candlelight in St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh. It was just beautiful and the lovely meal in the Grassmarket beforehand was perfect. Very lucky.
I hope today’s appointment goes well Mick, glad your’s did Susan, and wishing everyone a good day.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Bright and fairly dry.
Hope those on the move have good journeys.
Thanks for the reminder of the overflowing carparks. I will use the bus if I have to go out today.
I posted a question on our town Facebook forum about public transport on Christmas day. I was bombarded with replies saying there isn't any but offers of lifts into Edinburgh. One of which I am taking up! I know the person
Yesterday's U3A Christmas lunch was fine apart from the fact that I am the only vegetarian! out of 40.
I get pointed out as though I'm a freak. I was asked by several people including the chef how my meal was.
I was also almost the only person not wearing a jumper with reindeer on it
Oh dear Bah Humbug 😂
I hope you have a better day, and night Marydoll
Sorry about your slippery mousse Harrigran but it did make me giggle.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Good morning from Glasgow…it’s wet again.
I am thinking after lunch might be a quieter time for a quick shop at Sainsbury’s to avoid the shopping frenzy at this time of year. Knowing DH, he will have arranged with DD1 to buy a small gift for me. There is nothing he obviously needs now and all I have come up with is, a new pair of pyjamas.
Pleased to hear all went well at the hospital Susan.
Huge hugs Marydoll. I dearly hope you feel some improvement soon.
I have been -ambushed- a few times already GM💐
Wishing all a good day ahead and a better one to those in need of a less troubling one.
Good morning from a grey, damp NE.
Yesterday I was up early for the burglar alarm maintenance so thought I would get on with the laundry. Phone rang and it was the plumber, said he could come today and do all the jobs I have just had the quote for. I said yes of course even though I have my hairdresser coming at the same time.
I finished the laundry and got it all ironed, beds remade and everywhere tidied before starting on dinner. After main course I thought I would treat myself to some chocolate mousse, it fell out of the fridge and splattered everywhere. Cleaned the floor and cupboard doors and got a creme caramel carried it into the lounge with my coffee and dropped it on the carpet. I eventually managed to post the neighbours cards at 10pm and then I took myself off to bed before I could create more mess.
Have a good day.
Good morning from a wet N. Bucks.
Was up early and now sitting in a car park waiting for my breast screening appointment. The traffic was not as bad as I anticipated.
DH will join me afterwards to be my carrier for some last Christmas bits and pieces.
Safe journeys to those on the move and a good day wished for all.
Good morning all from a ‘soggy’ Suffolk by the sea.
It’s lovely to be back though and I feel I can catch my breath and relax.
Yesterday journey here was problem free. Unusual for the A12.
As we arrived at our cottage we received a call from friends along the beach who have just bought a new lodge. We joined them for coffee and a look round. It’s beautiful!
A bit different from the time we all had little caravans on the same site.
Today will be a small shop and I’ll start a new recommended book. Dog walk will be wet but she usually ends up in the sea so it doesn’t really matter.
Have a lovely holiday Sar - what could be nicer at this time of year.
Marydoll - I really hope you feel a bit better today.🙏.
Liberty enjoy your family time.
I hope you have a problem-free journey Brook and have a lovely time with your family.
Take care everyone travelling and a ‘good’ day to you all.

Morning all from a rather wet West Oxfordshire.
I had an annoying night as I woke around 2 am with very severe heart burn/acid reflux. I’m still feeling a bit odd now. I’m doing a Waitrose shop this morning so I’ll pop into Boots and have a word with the Pharmacist. I have things to drop off at the Charity shop too. Tree decorating this afternoon!
OH is out this evening so I’ll watch the rest of the Crown.
Have a good day everyone. Hope the drugs work soon MaryD.
Please go and get checked out at A&E. With your symptoms, you will be seen immediately.
I have had two heart attacks, woke at 3am both times, initially thinking it was reflux, which I suffer from.
The difference was, I felt really weird on top of the discomfort.
Good morning from a very wet East Midlands. Food shopping to do while listening to them blooming christmas tunes - anyone would think it is christmas, ahaha!!!
Good morning Mick. I hope goes well and straightforward for you today. 5° and forecast for sunshine today on the Angus coast. Still another half hour until sunrise, so we'll see.
I had one of those nights when I just couldn't drop off to sleep, so up again after only 4 hours' - very unwillingly! But it's Tuesday and it's Tai chi, so needs must.
I got cards and parcels off in the post and made great inroads into the present wrapping yesterday so I feel I may just get everything done in time for going away on Friday - I would hate to go off leaving everything in a mess to come back to.
Marydoll sorry you still feel so grim, but glad you feel able to post again. I hope other poorlies are also on the mend. Safe journeys to Brook and Ash and to all on the move.
Off I go, wishing you all an enjoyment of the pre-Christmas shenanigans 😁
Dismal morning but I comfort myself that in a week the days will grow imperceptibly longer and lighter. Supermarket shop this morning, WI party this evening, rest this afternoon - can’t do a three session day now; missed the carol service last night as I simply hadn’t the energy to go out again. Very disappointed by myself.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s raining.
For the first time for a long while I managed over 10,000 steps yesterday. We had a lovely walk in Richmond then I had bits to do in the village.
Today I may pop to town otherwise some sorting out of all the little gifts from my advent calendar and M and S beauty box., a bit of admin and some knitting. The local community action charity are looking for hand knitted gloves and mittens.
GM and GD the Turkish Delight on the shelves and not in my trolley does it to me. It’s the little things isn’t it?
MD good to see you posting. Hope you feel better soon.
Wishing safe travels, good holidays, happy days with the little ones, and short queues for the shoppers.
Morning from a wet S Hants. Safe travels Ashcombeand brook, enjoy your holiday Sar it sounds lovely.
Yesterday the voluntary phone wasn’t too busy, quiz night was great fun, MrJ won best Christmas outfit. I went to bed with a busy head and full of shandy, so a restless night ensued.
🦩🦩
Good morning all, hoping this mild spell will last a bit longer, out and about without a hat yesterday!
* Urms*, how fabulous you two will be, have lots of fun
Wishing everyone a good day, Marydoll hugs and
Good morning from a very wet Suffolk where there appears to have been heavy rain in the night…. And just when we thought the fields were drying up!
Off to do some last minute shopping and DH will come on promise of lunch out. I have a Waitrose delivery on Friday but need to get some things before the arrival tomorrow of the Bristol gang. The 3 DGC aged 12,14 and 16 can eat for England.
Hope today is an easy and positive day for all and thinking especially of those whose health is not as good as they would wish.
Good morning from a very sodden Cotswold hillside in south Gloucestershire, what a dismal start to the day; dog is in for a very wet walk this morning.
My beautiful birthday cake arrived yesterday, as did a beautiful door wreath in peacock colours.
Today I will enjoy a few hours painting and doing a bit of collage. My friend has cancelled the tea party this afternoon, she has an awful cold.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹
Sending you a hug Marydoll. Life is not fair to you. 💐
Good morning from Madeira. We arrived yesterday to warmth and sunshine, people were even swimming in the pool.
A lovely dinner last night and we were early to bed as very tired.
A lazy day today, breakfast shortly then a walk along the prom. Probably reading this afternoon.
Safe travels to those on the move today. Love to all xx
