Who's still Good Looking with Age

Saw Paul Jones on Jools Holland.He is remarkably good for his age,doesn’t seemthat different from when Bea’s in Manfred Mann all those years ago.

Notspaghetti I've been lucky to get to 71 and no wrinkles but I must take after my mum as she was the same. She worked till she was 80.
I often wonder what these botoxed young women will look like when they get older.

Gosh I love being told I look young for my age why wouldn’t I?

MOnica I heartily agree with your first post on this thread. I have inherited good skin from my mother's family but, of course, do have wrinkles, which I always regard as a map of my life. I am 73 (74 in May) and also find it rude or at least insensitive when someone tells me I look 63. This, such as it is, is what my 73 years look like!

I can't agree more. Pricilla looks scary now and so does Michael Douglas. Helen Mirren looks Fabius don't you think.

I think Sally Field has aged beautifully.

I think I have aged reasonably well for 79. with a bit of lippy I feel good too. I drive and play Scrabble and try doing cryptic crosswords.

However when I look in the bathroom mirror I see a wrinkly old lady,with dyed hair, gaps in teeth and no eyebrows.

Think I shall have to buy a new mirror 😂

Just like Monica, I'm constantly being told I don't look/sound my age when I have to reveal my DoB. Unlike Monica, I don't mind it a bit. Better than the alternative methinks. However, although I would never dream of 'thanking' anyone for such a comment I often respond by asking what they think someone my age should look/sound like. Answers vary between wrinkly, grumpy, frail. I simply tell them I have no friends of the same age who match that concept. Job done......

I think Nigel Havers and Martin Shaw have both aged well.

Both my mum and my dad looked years younger than they actually were and people tell me I look several years younger too. I have dreadful eyesight that when I take my glasses off I don't see any wrinkles at all!
I think Brad Pitt, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Hanks have all aged really well.

What about Katie Price, I think it’s what she calls herself now, what has she done to herself.

I agree with others that smoking does seem to make you age more, I suppose it is the creases around your mouth. Also being very thin does seem to result in more wrinkes - less fat under the skin to plump out the creases.

I thought I looked really good for my age - until I got my cataracts done. What a shock! Where did all the those wrinkles come from. Life wasn't so scary in soft focus.

I am more upset about my voice. I love going to choir but my voice has become quavery, though my latest health test says I have excellent lung function.

Oh yes, when I got my cataracts done I saw what I really looked like!

I agree Judy Dench is amazing, not just her looks but her personality. I also agree Sean Connery aged very well, sadly he is now dead. For me, though, I always admired Jane Birken, who sadly died in the Autumn.

Or looking down with face galloping to the floor (at Pilates for example).
