Has anyone used the Good to Go app

The only reason I went for the coop is it’s near by M and S would be a couple of miles and I don’t have a car

She got a nice crispy loaf, two lots of cakes, a lettuce, 2 lots of fruit, and sausages and scotch eggs

That was a disappointing start BlueBelle. I’ve not tried the Co- Op option. The few times I’ve used our local M&S it’s been a generous bag of food. It’s always on its date but usually freezable.

A griend has one regularly. We have camped with them several, times so I have seen thr contents of the bags and to be honest therr were very fee items I there that we would enjoy. Several items were duplicated and needed to be eaten that day. One had 4 lettuces in it. So decided not for us.

Well that was a non started went down at my alloted time
7 pm and was told sorry we didn’t have enough stuff your money will be refunded, so bugger and I ve got toothache

Do the prices vary shop to shop or were the £3.49 people a while ago and it’s gone up ?
Mine is the Co op because it’s near me my daughters having her first one tonight too from either Aldi or a different co op near her

Sounds good . We don’t have it here, unfortunately.

I did try these twice but each time received items which I wouldn't eat. No fresh fruit or vegetables. White bread, cakes etc and ultra processed foods .I have not used it since. It may suit some people though and it's a good idea.

This was my last one. I only use this shop as the other ones local to me are all baked goods, pastries etc which I don’t want. £3.49 for the bag. I had to throw out one apple and one avocado.

A lot depends on which shop/cafe the bag is from.

My daughter gets hers from the same local independent baker where she has bought excellent bakd goods in the past. She gets a carrier bag full of various kinds of bread, croissants, buns, etc, which are genuinely surplus stock made that day and unsold.

I got a bag from Costa which contained two toasted sandwiches - one had bare cheese, the other baked beans and neither was exactly well-filled - plus an "empire biscuit" and a square of very plain cake. All of it was very dry. I haven't tried since.

Too many carbs, my neighbour uses Olio, I sometimes get veg and fruit from her.

If you typically get mostly cakes and pastries, I’d better steer clear! Too much excess over Christmas already.

My son has used it, very similar to * Grannynannywanny’s* experience. M&S pick up at 9.30 pm. The couple of bags he has collected do not contain items to make a meal. The first bag had sausages, rolls, picnic Cornish pasties, apples and yogurts, around £12 worth at full price. He did point out that he probably would have paid less if they had yellow labelled it and he had a choice of what to buy. In fact some items did have a yellow label but had only been reduced by a small amount.

We have a Food Hub in our village. Operates once a week for a couple of hours. Volunteers collect from participating shops and supermarkets, and you can buy what you want, plenty of fresh veg etc and pay what you can afford.

Yep I use it often. I live within walking distance of pasty shops and end up with around £12 of Cornish pasties and cakes for £3.50, collected at 5pm. The only late collection here is the Spar shop. No big stores take part.

My daughter uses it regularly, she mainly gets things from local cafes such as sushi and cakes. The pick ups are all walking distance from her flat and have been very useful for her to pop in her lunch box for her night shifts. That way they are eaten the same day with no waste. She has been very impressed.

Yes I did and picked my order up from Aldi a week ago Sunday I had stated vegetarian. But there where meat products which they changed.I paid 3.30 for things I wouldn't buy. I did use them but have deleted the app and will never use again . Apart from a yogurt and cottage cheese it was all carbohydrate and processed .

It's a good idea if it was healthy food it wasn't. So will stick to my normal shop and pick my own bargains..And even thought it said the things would be worth £10 they weren't.

Yes, I’ve used it BlueBelle. The local M&S petrol station and food outlet participates in the scheme for £4. It’s usually a generous bag of goods approx £10-12 in value such as fresh pasta meals, pizzas, salad and bread.

The downside for me is the late collection time of 9.30pm. If I go out at that time I’m likely to lose my parking place in the street.

I haven't had one myself but I do give the bags out for a supermarket and they usually contain a variety of fruit and vegetables, bread, cakes and other bakery items.

They are very popular.
