Jug of daffodils, where's yours?

Daffodils are for St. David’s day. I have a jug of fat white camellia buds on the dresser at the moment

Daffodils are for any day, once they are out.They bring the sunshine and hope for spring time.

The daffs I bought just over a week ago have withered. They were on my dining/multi-purpose table and cheered the place up. Perhaps I'll get another bunch next time I go shopping.

On the trolley in between the cooking kitchen and the dining (room) area. Lovely and cheerful.

My lovely sister treated me to these beauties on Saturday. They were a total surprise and look so cheerful on the windowsill next to the poinsettia.

I love all flowers but a nice vase of daffodils at this time of year cheers me up and makes the house look nice and homely.
I normally have them in the dining room.

In an old white jug, on the worktop, by the sink.

Just thrown out some ftom the dining table.

Mine are in my DM's old blue and white jug, on the table in the porch!

One (also blue) vase on living room hearth and another vase on kitchen window sill. Just bought 3 bunches in M&S so still tightly in bud.

Daffodils

Lots of daffodils in my sitting room plus some yellow tulips. Gorgeous flower and full of hope of the better weather to come.

I always buy a bunch of daffodils in January. They remind me of a long tedious nighttime journey quite a few years ago when we moved to our present house. We stopped at services for a coffee and to get provisions and I bought a bunch of daffodils.

I bought some last week from Asda, but they didn't flower, just shrivelled and died. I have tried again today with some from M&S which look healthier. They are on my kitchen window sill.
I always buy them at this time of year before any appear in the garden.

When my mother-in-law used to come for Christmas she would always bring me a bunch of daffodils. I now carry on the tradition with my daughter and daughter-in-law. I should add she brought a huge food contribution as well as the flowers.

Apologies….they were called ‘sols’ not souls….autocorrect!

When I was working in London the flower sellers used to sell ‘souls’ they smelt so sweet and looked so cheerful. My mother said they were soleil d’or. Haven’t seen them for years.

Still growing in the garden!
Only got about 2 buds so far. I would say they are a few days earlier this year, than normal though.

They're so lovely, never met anyone who didn't like them and you can't say that about too many things!

I look for them straight after the New Year, it fools me that spring is coming soon. Mine are on the dining room table, with some winter flowering jasmine, in an old brown pottery vase that was my Grandma’s. .

When my lovely Welsh friend’s Mum died we all put daffodils onto her coffin. She had a wicker coffin. She was very ,very Welsh cariad.

Not daffs, but a few sprigs of winter jasmine and red quince, in bud. On the mantle shelf, reflected in the mirror.
