Do any other grans love radio and have recently lost their local presenters due to the BBC cost cutting and amalgamating the various regions?
I’m in Sussex and we are now with Surrey and Hampshire so some favourite presenters have been sadly forced to leave.
Not only that, the presenter who used to cover the whole country from 5 till 6 am every day, Jason Rosam has gone so for those of us like myself is an early riser or finds it hard to sleep sometimes I am truly upset about this and we have now got 5live.
He had lots of lovely callers each day from all over the country, sometimes the same ones every day for the many years he was presenting and these people became like a family and were so bereft when his programme ended at the end of the year.
I for one miss them all so much, and the stories they had to tell, and Jason himself was so caring to all his listeners that now I feel very sad for him and all the other great presenters who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own.
