Just driven back from my daughters, and lost count of the number of floods we had to drive through. The water got into the brakes, and I had to keep pumping them after each one. Very glad to get home!

It's been raining since last night and our garden is flooded. It happens a lot and I think it has something to do with the fact that where our house is built there used to be a field of horses. Apparently the land was marshy. Our houses were built in the late 1920s.
