Good Morning Everyone,
Dark with signs of overnight rain or mist/fog here in brackley .
Yesterdays trip out was not perfect , on the outward leg to Bicester lost time due to a road accident , this was also causing problems returning with the driver asking her garage for permission to return a different way .
Today I am hoping for a trouble free journey on the bus , otherwise on the health front weight is starting to gain ,and my system is acting normal as to toilet issues .
More cycling on TV later ,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a cold, grey and dry (for now) Co Durham.
💐 and hugs as appropriate. Another nothing day here. Roll on the spring might lift my spirits.

Grammaretto if you want to take something for auction, look up a local auction house, they should have a list of valuation days. Take your item/s along and they will either give you a valuation, take the item in for sale and charge you a fee or they will tell you it has little value and you will be going to the charity shop!

Good morning Mick and all from drizzly Lancashire, currently 5°C and drizzling.

Yesterday I was feeling rather under the weather, so the Swedish death clean was put on hold. I had a lazy day listening to the radio and a few podcasts. I finished the Thursday Murder Club, which I enjoyed. It had mixed reviews on here and it took me a little while to get into it. I’m glad I did, it was just what I needed yesterday. Not much planned for today, MrB is expecting a parcel to be delivered so we may leave the farm shop until tomorrow.

Have a good day whatever you’re doing 🌻

Good morning everyone from a misty and grey Northampton. Forecast to remain so all day.
Had a lovely walk in glorious sunshine yesterday, 14 of us turned out for the group, including 2 new walkers. Followed by coffee and friendly chat. It was good to have company yesterday, as it was 6 years to the day since DH died.

I had a gardener come on Monday to give me a quote for a good tidy up of my large garden,.and he is booked to come in March; he will also cut the grass. I'm afraid it is all getting too much for me, so I will be mightily relieved. The only downside is that we uncovered a very wobbly fence which will need dealing with.

Book club this afternoon; we will be discussing Laurie Lee's 'A Rose for Winter'. (And enjoying cake!)
The.dishwasher to empty, and fish to get out of the freezer for dinner tonight, so quite a gentle morning.

Morning from South Lanarkshire, usual weather but at the moment no rain.

I’m off to mass soon and on the way I’m going to put a massive bedspread into the cleaners. It’s been sitting on top of a wardrobe for goodness knows how long, waiting till I got round to having it cleaned and handed into a charity shop. I’ve now decided that after the cleaning it can go back on my bed and give me a change instead!

Later on it’s exercise group now lunch group. I’m glad it is continuing, they’re a nice group of women although one is turning into a bit of a loose cannon and nobody knows quite what to do!

Wishing everyone the best day possible. Glad to hear your meet up planning skills haven’t been lost Marydoll!

Good morning all. It's forecast to be drizzle and a brisk breeze on the Angus coast today, but at the moment it's hazy bright and dry.
Enjoy your trip away Sar and your DGD's show.
WhiteWave - The Case of the Disappearing Post! That happens to me quite frequently and it's so annoying! Hope you're feeling brighter today though.
I think you're entitled to a grumpy day after a night like that Marydoll. After a couple of nights of good sleep I was back to a night of many rounds with a champion boxer last night so I'm feeling somewhat less than rested and ready for nothing.
Yesterday's tai chi class went well, although there was distressing news about our two oldest members. One will definitely not be back with us, but the other is determined that he will be. He loves his tai chi, went to as many classes a week that he could get to and practises daily, so I won't be surprised to see him again one of these days. As far as age goes, I'm next - those two are 84 to my 82. I know these things have nothing to do with our actual numbers, but it's a strangely disconcerting realisation.
But enough of that - today's today and my first job is to get to grips with the efficient loading of the new dishwasher - it doesn't seem as spacious as the last one, although it fits neatly into the same integrated space.
Enjoy all your doings today everyone, with a lessening of pain and improvement of colds. 🦋☀️

Marydoll Wed 28-Feb-24 08:59:53

Grammaretto, I have already seen a pain management consultant. Nothing much left to be done.
I do not wish to increase my already industrial strength pain meds, because I won't be able to drive. This has already been tried.
Physio hasn't helped, because RA is systemic and attacks the whole body, unfortunately.
It is a b*gger of a condition, but I won't let it defeat me. It is so unpredictable.
However, I am already thinking of planning the next Glesca Grannies meet up! 😉 Watch this space!

Greyduster Wed 28-Feb-24 08:54:05

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Dreary in South Yorkshire with rain expected later. I slept very late this morning - woke up thinking it was half past six but the six should have been an eight. The bin lorry woke me up and I had forgotten to put the bin out. That’s another post it note I shall have to fall back on!
Writers group at the library this afternoon.
Have the best day you can folks.

Kalu Wed 28-Feb-24 08:52:23

Good morning from Glasgow. It’s a dreich wet day.

I have an appointment with the practice pharmacist this morning and this afternoon, by which time I hope the rain has stopped, a hairdresser appointment with the welcoming cheerful blethering over coffee with the usual suspects.

Have the best day possible all.

EkwaNimitee Wed 28-Feb-24 08:49:23

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle where the sun is trying but will likely not succeed.
Yesterday it showered all day, hardly a break in between them.
Today, continue with housework and laundry in the morning and the reading of my book in the afternoon. Plus I need to ring my travel insurance company to get my insurance for a forthcoming holiday reinstated. They suspended it whilst I was awaiting a scan even though it wasn't an investigation for a new condition. Yesterday I was informed the scan was clear, no kidney stones. Years since my one and only attack and not something I want ever again!

Have a good day all.

GrannySomerset Wed 28-Feb-24 08:40:14

Out for brunch this morning and singing this afternoon so a more lively day than most. Fine at present but rain later - again. It’s never ending. Sorry that Marydoll is having such a rotten time and hope a solution is offered. Hope too for a good enough day for all of us with spring flowers to cheer us.

Georgesgran Wed 28-Feb-24 08:39:38

Got so carried away about dog poo, I forgot to say it’s DD1’s birthday today - 45 and DD2 has a half-birthday too. We’re saving celebrations for the weekend. X

Jaxjacky Wed 28-Feb-24 08:33:25

Good morning from a grey S Hants. Enjoy your visit Sar and you your birthday treats monk.
Chiropodist came yesterday for the first time, ingrowing toenail sorted, my knee is slow progress.
🦩🦩

Grammaretto Wed 28-Feb-24 08:30:04

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Another dreich start with no sign of the sun.

Yarn group this morning which always cheers.

Gaelic class yesterday and I have booked another short course on the Isle of Skye in the summer. I enjoyed last year's very much.

Sorry you're in constant pain Marydoll. Would a pain management course help you? I am on a waiting list for one for my hip. While I wait in the queue for a new hip, I'm in another queue 😂

An auction sounds exciting Bonny
I have often thought about that but don't know how to go about it.

Get well soon Grandmabatty and anyone else who's below par.

Pittcity Wed 28-Feb-24 08:29:33

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. I'm still full of cold so not doing much today.
Love to all 🦩 x

Georgesgran Wed 28-Feb-24 08:26:08

Good morning from Durham. A dry day is forecast. Another here with a chesty cough and sore throat - don’t think I can blame the DGSs. Coffee this morning with a friend, some food shopping, then a walk with DD2’s Little Dog before dark. Her DH gets home today, but I’ll keep the dog ‘til the weekend, as he’ll be jet lagged - her DH, not the dog! Did a different walk yesterday and disgusted to see piles of dog waste everywhere - some bagged, some not. It was awful. The area is used almost constantly by professional dog walkers now (that’s why I usually give it a miss, even though it’s nearby) so I think they must be responsible for the mess.
How or who do they think is going to collect it??? Rant over.
Best wishes to all. X

Liberty Wed 28-Feb-24 08:12:37

A quick good morning from a damp Suffolk.

I’m off to my keep fit class in less than an hour and am still in my dressing gown waiting for our porridge to be ready.

Because of other commitments I’ve missed this class for 3 weeks so it will be good to loosen up again.

Hope today is a good one for all.

Marydoll Wed 28-Feb-24 08:07:19

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, its 7°C.

Good luck with your appointment GBB.

WWM, I hope your spirits have lifted.

GM, how I envy your stamina and busyness.

Some good news. I received an email from the court, the citation for jury service, should never have been , but I should keep my medical exemption certificate, just in case I am summoned again. 🤬

A quite day ahead, I have had little sleep, my RA has become very troublesome, roll on my next appointment. Think of toothache in just about every part of your body, it restricts what I am able to do and makes me a very grumpy, old woman. 😉

Have the best of days.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 28-Feb-24 08:06:51

Morning all, yes it’s grey here.

Sar53 safe journey, enjoy your time with your girls good luck to S in her show, I know you are looking forward to watching her.

Despite being exhausted and tired yesterday I got everything done that I wanted to. I am off to the gym first thing and then it’s the ironing mountain that needs attention.

Take care 🙋‍♀️

monk08 Wed 28-Feb-24 08:00:32

Good morning all from a dull and damp Black country.
Today we have a meal booked and a trip to the theatre to see Officer and a gentleman, it's a present from my birthday.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

NannyJan53 Wed 28-Feb-24 07:51:28

Good morning from a very foggy Black Country.

Gym this morning which will be needed as meeting friends for an Afternoon Tea this afternoon!

Had notification by e-mail that the gym is closing in a months time! So time to find a new one. There is one nearby (literally 8 mins walk away) which was built and completed just as lockdown started! So may look into that one.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Gingster Wed 28-Feb-24 07:50:25

Good morning all and as Sar says, it’s grey here in Essex .
Hope your journey is trouble free and enjoy your time with the family.

Today I’m meeting my old school pal for coffee and croissants. We meet half way and it’s a two stop train ride for me. It takes 11 minutes and is much easier and cheaper than driving and parking. We’ll try to FaceTime our friend in Oz but I’m not sure of the time difference where she is.

This afternoon DS1 is taking me to a nursery to choose garden ‘stuff’. He’s re-doing our little plot and we need lots. He loves a challenge. Dh has lost all his ‘oomph’, so our lovely chap has stepped in. ❤️.

I hope you all have a ‘good’ day. 🌷

harrigran Wed 28-Feb-24 07:45:17

Good morning from a grey, cool NE.
Another quiet day for me just sorting paperwork, shredding stuff that DH had kept for years. I am sure 15 year old bank statements will no longer be needed.
No shopping today as SIL is still recuperating.
Have a good day.

Alygran Wed 28-Feb-24 07:45:01

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s dull and breezy.
I have a friend coming today and we are going to the arboretum then the village pub for a late lunch. I hoping that the daffodils are beginning to flower and the pathways aren’t too muddy!
Have a good day everyone.
