Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , cold and frosty outside here in brackley at the moment .
Todays plans , usual bus to Bicester and do my regular routine there , and hoping to return home to find my new EE/BT box has been delivered .
health wise appear to improve as the days go by , but cannot wait for better weather conditions with milder air so I can do more as to attending to graves etc.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all and it’s drizzly here at the Suffolk seaside.
Yesterday was a glorious day and we worked in the garden without coats, then sat in the very warm summerhouse for a reviving cuppa.
We actually saw two ladies going in for a swim! 😳. No wetsuits, just cozzies. Madness!

Lovely Amaryllis pic Monk. I left mine at home , hopefully it will still be blooming when I get back. I do love them !

Glad you’re feeling better Ash and your little dgs seems to be recovering well GB.

Safe journey home Sar. Hope those 4 trains tie up for you🤞.
Good luck with your viewing Oops .

Take care and enjoy the day, whatever it brings 🙏

Good morning all. North Leicestershire is cloudy and 6°.

I hope it warms up as I am manning and AgeUk information and recruitment stall outside a Tesco this morning.

Have the best day you can, everyone.

Good morning from Malta where we have had some much needed rain. It didn’t last long. Temp is 15°C which is considered chilly here in our unheated homes!

I’ve got a poorly DGS today. He’s got a fever and is fairly miserable, bless him. I’m hoping Calpol will help otherwise he’ll be off to the paediatrician when his mum gets back from work.

Always something to worry about isn’t there.

Have a good day all, no time to read all posts just now so hope all who aren’t well will feel better soon.☀️

Good morning from North Yorkshire. There’s been heavy rain overnight and it’s a dull start.
Yesterday it was very misty all morning but when I came out of the dentist there was lovely sunshine. I had a good catch up with a friend then a good walk. It felt like a more positive day.
Today I have a meeting about the charity. We will be closing next year due to lack of volunteers and are looking to pass some of the work onto other broader groups. This is a strat to that process.
Wishing you all a good day.

After a lovely sunny day yesterday it’s grey and wet here. Managed to change one bed and get the bedding washed and dried outside.
Just waiting for dgd and the granddogs to arrive.
Glad you’re feeling better Ash
Marydoll your humour in spite of your health problem is awesome. Glad your little dgs is feeling better grandmabatty
Safe travels to those on the move. Have a good day everyone.
Today I reach matching numbers and I’m treating myself to a colour at the hairdressers after taking dgd to school.

Good morning all. What a glorious day yesterday's "foggy" day was! Not so today on the Angus coast - showers and a stiff breeze.
I'm another daffodil lover, but apart from my one early one, they are all tightly tucked up in their buds still. The rhododendrons, my all time favourites, all have loads of flower buds I'm glad to say. There's so much to look forward to at the start of Spring.
All tasks were abandoned yesterday in order to fully enjoy the unexpectedly glorious sunshine, first of all in the front sun porch and then down by the pond. The sun is so warm now. Then the afternoon was spent with a couple of friends putting the world to rights over coffee and scones.
Mick I'm so glad you're feeling better these days, and that you have recovered from your tummy bug Ash. I hope the same goes for all the other grandma who have been feeling under the weather recently.
Happy house hunting Oops.
I'm off to tai chi soon, with shopping later - my usual Tuesday fare. Have a good day all 🦋☀️🌷

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a grey, damp South Yorkshire. We are in the final stages of fence building. Hurrah! I had a run over to the garden centre yesterday to look at plants to fill some gaps in my rockery wall. There was quite a lot of choice, but I decided to leave off buying them for a few weeks yet. There’s plenty of time. It was a nice run there and back along the country backwacks in the sunshine.
Today, hopefully, volunteering at the school. I hope it will be dry enough to walk there.
Have the best day you can folks.

Happy St Piran's Day Cornwall!

Good morning from a grey looking Suffolk, such a disappointment after a gloriously sunny and warm day yesterday.

All our daffodils and narcissi are out and the ever increasing number of primroses. I have stopped trying to grow tulips either in the ground or in tubs as the bulbs are either eaten by mice in the tubs or muntjacs as they emerge.

I’m meeting a friend in Norwich later to go to an exhibition at Norwich castle museum recommended by another friend. It is an exhibition of black and white photographs taken in the 1920s and 30s inside the factories of traditional Norfolk trades such as glove making and chocolate( Caley’s I think).

I love black and white photographs. The last exhibition of them was at Tate Britain several years ago of those of Don McCullinwhich DH and I saw. As well as his famous photos of the war in Vietnam( called the American war by the Vietnamese when we visited several years ago) there were stunning photos of the poverty in northern towns in the 50s.

Good morning everyone from a dull grey Northampton, at least it's dry.

The only thing of note today is an appointment at the bank at lunchtime; need to re-organise my accounts and as I am seeing my actual manager it will get done; (the.girl I spoke to last week said it couldn't be done....)
Then may have a wander round the shops and have a coffee.

Awaiting another phone call from the fencing man to arrange a visit for him to inspect my damaged fence; he wanted to come at lunchtime today....

May your Tuesday be a.good one.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey and damp Carlisle where the weather is trying to brighten up.

Happy birthday Grandmachrisy, hope the sun shines for you!

I'm off into town shortly on a few errands, one to visit the Body Shop and garner some of my favourites before they close, and another to see the pharmacist and see if she can recommend anything for my itchy ears. They often do as I wear hearing aids but this time they are not settling down and are a tad sore.
Afterwards, I may treat myself in my favourite coffee shop. It occupies part of the ground floor of the big House of Fraser department store which is soon to close. It's in a prominent position right in the centre of the city and I can't think what will be done with it, we already have two empty department stores. My son told me the selling price is a mere £750K!

I shall return to tackle admin, this seems to be a season of bills pouring in from all directions, expected and unexpected.

Have a good day everyone.

We are promised a rain-free day, and it will be more than welcome. I am supermarket shopping this morning and might have a little potter outside if it is dry and the wind less vicious than it has been lately.

Hope that the various convalescents feel better and that the various family anxieties are resolvable and that we all have a good enough day.

A very Happy Birthday grandmachrisy enjoy your special day ! 💐🥂🎂🎉

harrigran Tue 05-Mar-24 09:09:28

Good morning from a grey but dry NE.
Yesterday I spent the day doing very little, a family member has been missing since Saturday and the police are looking for them.
DS is calling after work as his car is in the garage having work done and it is not far from me. I will probably make him some Matriciana sauce to serve with pasta.
Have a good day.

Good morning from Glasgow. Gosh, what a difference some sunshine makes to our lives. Today looks promising too and it feels a good bit milder.

I spent a good part of the day in the garden again yesterday. As DH’s bedroom is at the back of the house he has a clear view of a good part of the garden from his bed to enjoy signs of early spring and his favourite part, watching me pottering about in my favourite place.

That was a long consultation Susan I hope the results of your upcoming MRI are favourable and nothing for you to worry about.
Sounds like your DGS2 has bounced back the way that children quickly do Grandmabatty
I’m afraid my cycling days may be over Karma. Busy indoors and out is enough activity for me and my energy spent. My Dutch bicycle now sits at the side of the garden room with various plants in the basket.
Happy birthday and many happy returns of the day*Grandmachrissy*, enjoy your special day. 🎂💐

Hoping a good day/better day is ahead for everyone.

Another lovey bright morning here in Dunblane with blue skies. This kind of weather makes you feel so much better. We had a lovely walk yesterday along the River Teith at Callander with a coffee afterwards in one of the many coffee shops. It was very quiet and peaceful unlike in the tourist season when it can be very busy. Dd popped in after her work with a lovely bunch of tulips, mixed colours which will brighten up the room. I had bought two bunches of daffodils on Friday at the shop where they are “not just any daffodils but…….” and they have failed to open properly and some have died already, very disappointed in those. Glad your Dgd2 is recovering well Grandma Batty.
Don’t buy to much on your visit to the shops Marydoll. Good that you enjoyed your visit down south Brook and got home without any hassle. Thoughts with poorlies and those worried for any reason.

Welcome home Brook to bonnie Scotland

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire, currently 7°C. It was very cold overnight but the frost has cleared now.

Got through a fair bit of sorting and reorganising yesterday and am quite achy today. Lots more to do so will carry on at a slower pace today.

Good to hear your grandson is doing well GrandmaBatty.

Have a good day all whatever you’re doing, hope poorlies feel better soon.
