Morning from a dry central Fife, MOH wants to go shopping today as he has 'cabin fever' he has had both his toe nails off and feels he can now venture out ( just hope he does not blow the shopping budget which I have worked so hard at this week ! )This afternoon I am helping out at a craft class which I really enjoy. Hope everyone has a good day

Good morning all from a dull Black country.
DH has a gp phone appt this morning regarding his blood tests last week.
Shopping once he has had the call, then friends coming later.
Urms good to read you are off to your happy place with the blessing of himself, relax and come back refreshed and please bring the sun back with you.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning from a dry south Glos hillside, any chance of it staying that way today?
I had a good tidy up and clean through the house yesterday, ironing to be done and I need to wash the kitchen floor today.
I even managed to get some washing line dried, a small thing that always lifts my spirits 😊
Dog and I will go for a walk this morning, she’s become increasingly anxious in the car, I have absolutely no idea why, it started with her travelling in dh’s car. So I’ve gone right back to the beginning with her 😢. Never mind, we’ll get there eventually but no more interesting walks, just from the house. Also no going on holiday unless I get something from the vet, which I am reluctant to do.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry and bright start to the day
Hoping this discussion with your GP is helpful Ash and the injection ok
DGD has just woken up, breakfast soon and then I’m hoping she’s happy with a quick ponytail rather than the french plait she asked for last week 🤦‍♀️. We’ll drop her at school for 9am then I’ve the rest of the day free. If it stays dry I’ll probably be out in the garden as Im digging out some groundcover plants that have really deep fibrous roots and it’s quite hard work.
Enjoy your meet up kitty and the others
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

A day at home today working through the to do list.We want to get everything sorted as once the weather improves we have lots we want to sort in the garden.

Good morning everyone from Severnside. It’s just started to rain.

Yesterday evening at the start of the 6pm news I nodded off to sleep. I woke up to find the room and hall lights were on and then saw some bags on the hall floor. I realised Beechnutella had arrived and was out in the garden with the dog. She often comes in and I don’t hear her. She left her dog for me to look after today. The quilt on the spare bed is in disarray so I think someone spent part of the night on it.

Just a pottering day for me and hopefully a parcel delivery.

Have a good day all ☔️🌺

Morning all, I have been awake since 4am. Gave up trying to sleep and have been reading.

Blue sky and a gentle breeze outside. No plans for the day, I might drive to Lakeside for a mooch round the shops.

Hope your injection goes well Ashcombe

Have a good day 🙋‍♀️

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire. It is 10°.

I am off out to meet two fellow Gransnetters for coffee and cake. We need a good catch up. Then I have a pedicure booked and a Sainsbury's delivery expected.

DH has a 3 hour zoom session starting at 6 - really throws our evenings into disarray.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the weather can’t make its mind up. Met Office and Beeb both say entirely different things yet again. The only thing they both agree on is that it’s cold and windy! I am supposed to be out with the walking group this morning. Jury’s out on that one at the moment although I need the exercise. DD is not at home today so I won’t be able to join her for lunch as I usually do on Thursdays. It looks like being an “in” day, then.
Have the best day you can folks.

Gosh I’m late on parade this morning Mick! Awoke around three and have dozed intermittently til now, most unlike me who could 😴 for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 usually!

Had a delicious lunch and catch up yesterday with friends after a light dusting of PGTowers in the morning to ease my conscience at another gallivant in a week😂.

And it’s not over yet as I shall be trotting to bingo with another friend tonight to see if we can top up the stash for our Chester trip later this month. I’ve booked the train and Premier Inn so another couple of lines or a house should see us right for a posh nosh restaurant 😋and a decent red 🍷!

Wishing everyone a good day x

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex coast.
I had the first of two shingles jabs yesterday morning and by lunchtime I felt so ill. This reaction was far worse than after the covid jabs.
I feel better this morning but still very achy.
The car is going in for a service today so I must get DH up in a minute.
Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning Mick, morning All from a wet corner of Somerset.

Yesterday whizzed past. Errands completed we had some down time before setting out for a meal to celebrate our granddaughters 18th birthday. It was a very relaxed, jolly occasion. Her party is on Saturday, goodness we’re not used to so much socialising.

Coffee and world putting to rights with neighbours this morning before more room clearing. A date with the Horizontal cupboard that is under ottoman bed storage then we’re about done. Wonderful! Mr C is very tired now. He’s yet to learn the gentle art of pacing.

Good luck today ash, I’m relieved your GP could sort the clinic appointment.

Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Only 4°C at the moment. I've climbed back into bed with a large cup of tea.

Yesterday's decluttering resulted in sales of boxes of video games and music cassettes on gumtree which have now gone to new homes.
My AC have had ample time to remove them.
Now other things will go to charity or be thrown out.

I took the helpers to the Great Polish Map of Scotland. Now they can say they have seen all of Scotland.

Yoga this morning, a haircut and ceilidh dancing tonight.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Bellasnana Thu 14-Mar-24 06:46:46

Good morning all. Weather in Malta is the same as it has been for the past few weeks, sunny and around 18°C.

I’m with the boys, breakfast done and both dressed despite protests from littlest. His brother (older by just 2minutes) is the complete opposite, calm and chilled.

Ashcombe best of luck with your injection and well done for all your organising yesterday.💐

Urmston the break will do you good.

Have a good day as much as you can.☀️

Gossamerbeynon1945 Thu 14-Mar-24 06:44:42

Good Morning. I got up early. At 5.00

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 14-Mar-24 06:35:36

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m still in bed - and will be for the next hour or so.
I thought we were going out for lunch but OH has a lot to do with his bee things as he is moving them at the weekend.
I have a lecture on St James’s Palace to catch up on. And this afternoon my online V&A course on jewellery.
I need to plan dinner too. I had a chocolate cooking day yesterday - rich chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream and chocolate fudge icing. All safely in the freezer ready for Easter.
Have a good day everyone, especially those of you with difficulties or heartache.

grandMattie Thu 14-Mar-24 06:30:34

Good morning from a dry Bristol. Showers and grey skies all day. Oh how I wish for some sunshine.
Talking sunshine, Urms, I think taking a few days off will do you a power of good. All the more that your DH is doing well ATM and is actively encouraging you to go.
Poor you, Ash, will you be able to have your wedding ring on another finger? And all the best re. Stroke clinic. 🫂
My frantic day yesterday meant that I had barely a moment to myself. I just had time to cook a ratatouille for dinner. I was pooped.
Today is gentler. I just have tai chi mid-morning. I shall have a nap in the afternoon, something I haven’t managed for weeks! I’ll try and finish a couple more cushion covers, so as to have enough for my bay window seat.
Don’t forget your random act of kindness today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

karmalady Thu 14-Mar-24 06:11:16

Good morning, more rain today in somerset.

The ground should be drying by now, ready for seed sowing but it is deeply sodden. It must be frustrating for growers and in normal years I would have cleaned the green algae off my patios in march, ready to sit out

It will have to be pottering again today, really I want to be out in the countryside but there are still big puddles to negotiate.

Have a good day

Ashcombe Thu 14-Mar-24 06:07:48

Good morning from a quiet Torbay although a windy day is forecast.

Yesterday, I hosted Wednesday Club as the usual hosts are on holiday. It's quite a responsibility, not least the serving of refreshments, then washing up and clearing away of crockery. After that, locking up and switching off lights with switches in various unexpected places. I prefer to do it alone apart from the welcome help with the heavy doors (our theatre is housed in a converted church).

This morning I’m having a steroid injection in my ring finger at the surgery. Sadly, I had to have my wedding ring cut off recently due to the arthritic swelling. The GP who will administer it also sorted out an appointment at the Stroke Clinic for next Tuesday which has been postponed by the hospital until after Easter. I hope to discuss that with him.

Wishing everyone as good a day as possible. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark not quite twilight but its dry outside at the moment here in brackley .
A day of doing things , I need to reorder some more Wiltshire Farm ready made meals later after my usual routine of bussing to Bicester which relaxes me ,and as I often see people I know either from work over 20 plus years ago , will hopefully have a beer as well.
Take Care,
Mick
