Morning all, I read often but am not a frequent poster, however just wanted to say to Urms that I know exactly how she’s feeling, wanting to have a break, yet not wanting to at the same time.
After nearly 2 very fraught years, with numerous hospital visits inc 3 emergencies to A+E my other half is due to undergo his aortic valve replacement op in just over a week at Papworth.
A few months ago I really needed a few days away, but didn’t want to go too far, just in case.
So I went on the train, up to the NW of England to stay with family up there. It was only for 5 days in total, and I was in contact with my husband as and when we chose, and it really did recharge my batteries.
Urms If you’re thinking going to Spain might be too far away, so is causing you more anxiety, could you perhaps go to stay with your daughter in Yorkshire?
Even if she and her husband are out at work all day, you could potter round the village maybe, (and get some ready meals in/ go to the pub #lazygran😉) but have company in the evening. Just a thought.
Whatever you do a battery recharge will do you a world of good. I hope you don’t mind me putting my ‘two penn’orth’ in- don’t want to offend in any way. xx
