Yesterday dgd decided she needed a sleepover here ‘for grandad’s birthday’. Not a problem of course. We live five minutes from school but of course we were late 😂.

Good morning from Glasgow. Sunny and dry so far.

Our gardener is here to do his annual spring tidy. The borders especially need a bit of a clear out before fresh compost can be spread.
The pic is of two Amaryllis I potted. The small one has 7 buds, never had that before and the other continues to grow even taller. Both are double head according to the box description!

Good morning all. The weather is 'changeable' here on the Angus coast - one moment I look out on a beautiful March day and the next it's miserable February. But anyway, the washing is in the machine and we'll take it from there.
So good to hear from you Marydoll - although all that bad news must have been so difficult to take. You're a brave and strong lady.
Gmattie just do what feels right for you. However a morning with a bunch of boisterous toddlers would certainly give you respite from all the things going on in your mind. Unloading on here will be good for you too. It's such a damnable position you're in. Lots of love.

Glad to see you posting again I read every morning before I start my day and enjoy reading your posts the tales are usually very funny but even if there not it's good to know your safe ,please take care ,we,ve had an automatic car for about 4 years ever since two subsequent cars had there clutches burnt out I wouldn't go back to an ordinary one now .Anyhoo best get on with the day .

Good morning from a warm but hazy day in Lanzarote, apparently the haze yesterday was sand (Calima?) but warm already.
Good to see GM and Marydoll posting, good to have you here, good news or bad, we miss you when you aren’t here.
Good also to think of Urms being able to get away and recharge her batteries, modern technology means that we don’t worry all day about the ones at home.
Shopping this morning as the cupboards are literally bare, the fridge has a couple of scraps in it, but off to a larger supermarket a couple of miles away.

Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
Art workshop yesterday in nice venue in town yesterday, first meeting and a good turn out. Our organiser is a friend who used to be in our bookgroup. We painted spring blossoms etc.

I roasted a turkey crown frozen from Christmas which I will have with DD today. She had a second day fiftieth celebration with her best friend. We were both sleepy watching tv in the evening.

Off to charity shop with two large bin bags of stuff. Dare not look in for fear of taking something out😁, then a supermarket shop.
I think going out might help grandmattie and thoughts to all with worries 🌺

Lovely lunch yesterday with DD2 at The Boathouse in Amble - not cheap, but I can recommend it.
Meeting a friend for coffee this morning, then must get a couple of nice birthday cards. Maybe a little potter in the garden later.

Hope Mick’s appointment is ok today and so pleased that Urms has arrived safely, although met with sad news at her Happy Place. When DH was ill, he always insisted I went off on holidays too - a kind man.

Hair appointment this afternoon. Housework this morning - so boring stuff.

Yesterday I planned a new planting scheme for part of a bed - it is a late summer bed - so I’ve ordered Aster - a bright crimson and dahlia a bright cerise to go together. The rest of that bit of the bed has grasses - if I have room I will put in lily regale x3 for early summer, I will also put in daffs and dwarf species tulips in the autumn. First must dig up existing plants and pot them up to move to another bed (in the planning stage) then dig over and garden compost and fertilise.

Fish and fennel tray bake for supper.

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey Carlisle where it will likely rain before long.
It showered yesterday afternoon so I was pleased I'd got out in the garden before lunch to do a little planting. My soil is so wet and we haven't had the quantities of rain there have been down south this winter.
Prior to that I went for an early walk in the park. The Pond is as full as I've ever seen it to the extent that pipes are taking off the excess water into drainage channels. This area is underlain by solid clay so they're necessary.
I've finished my book, seen off the weekend papers and got rid of a little more stuff, some collected and some bagged up waiting for me to get down to the charity shops. It seems to make little difference when I look around but I am getting clear space under the beds now.

I hope you get some positive help from the police persons today, grandMattie and your bank.

Good morning everyone from a rather cloudy Northampton, showers forecast.
Yoga this morning then home to move dust and vacuum the furniture.

Made a large batch of sausage rolls yesterday ready for Wednesday when I am hosting our ladies' wine club. Shall pop to the shops tomorrow to pick up a few more goodies for the evening.

Watching tv late afternoon yesterday when all the power went off - not a power cut. I rang my kind neighbour to check, he came over straight away,.and apparently the fuse box had tripped. We couldn't work out why, but he reset it for me, and fingers crossed....

Must get my skates on. Hoping a good.day is ahead, and that grandMattie gets some good news.

Good morning from a bright & milder Sefton. Sun & a gentle breeze is forecast for the rest of the day (&rain for the rest of the week) so I am up with the lark - my lark is a late riser - to get the rest of my holiday washing done & out on the line before we have to go to our singing session this morning. Definitely back to reality & our usual weekly routine. Will now make a cup of tea & catch up with everyone's busyness.
May today be the start of a better week for those of you struggling with life's difficulties at the moment.

Good morning everyone from sunny Málaga. I’ve just put the kettle on and opened the front door to have a look at the mountains opposite. Busy traffic six floors down and across the road a worker is busy with a bucket, cloth and squeegee cleaning all the windows of the bus stop shelter. Goodness I don’t think I’ve ever seen that done in England.

TIB then made by me. I’m going to FaceTime Himself in an hour or so (we’re ahead so it’s a bit too early to disturb him yet). I’m going for lunch downstairs with the lovely Glaswegian couple who keep an eye on our little place - check for water bursts etc (never happened but reassuring). The news from the tapas bar is so devastating. The owner, at the age of 51y, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer only last month and is receiving chemotherapy. Sheesh. Cancer strikes again. The bar only opens now on reduced hours. I feel for his wife and lovely family.

I decided against the U3A walk today after my failure last time 😢
Instead a df is coming to re-hang my barometer which has been off the wall for at least 6 months.
