For me the sun was shining managed a lovely walk. While walking saw a squirrel and lots of butterflies and birds. Stopped to chat to several people as the sun brought more people outdoors and it felt like spring is finally getting here.

My lovely (only my second visit to her salon today) hairdresser Alicia who listened to me and then cut my hair exactly as we both discussed 💐

hahaha what cheered me up was the frank discussion about connstipation on another thread. I dont usually discuss medical conditions.

Met up with some friends from 2017. Lovely to catch up over lunch.

We took one of our hens to the vet as she has the most dreadful treading injury. I didn't expect to be bringing her back alive but she was given an injection and has perked up. She has 3 more injections to be given but at least she has a chance, I thought she was doomed! This made me happy.

Next doors cat.
He comes into our yard and waits until we open the door, then strolls in, has a look round, purrs when we fuss him, then leaves happily with his tail up.Such a gorgeous cat, black with a white bib and socks.

We’d a surprise visit from our son and dil today with a few of the grands. Two delightful little girls one just two months ! Nearly two year old gd is talking more and more and can’t pronounce papa (what the grands call my husband) and follows him about hollering for uppa! And is the most darling thing

A man walking 20 yards ahead of me this morning allowed his dog to soil the pavement and I mumbled obscenities about him all the way into the shop for my paper.

On my way back he nipped out of his house with a poo bag in his hand and picked up the mess….he’d simply forgotten to take one with him! It cheered me up no end 🙂

Fauré’s Requiem

Lucky thing, its one of my favourites.

Sitting out in the sunshine with a cup of coffee after giving the lawn its first cut. Hard work in places! 😳

Cabbie21 Sun 24-Mar-24 16:31:47

Singing Fauré’s Requiem last night and also listening to the rest of the concert- for free.
Now I am listening to some Early Music on Radio 3.

Close relative diagnosed with cancer, so felt down this morning.

However had a walk along Low Newton beach in Northumberland with my dog in the sunshine this afternoon. Threw the ball for her, and she made me laugh at her antics.

My dog has spring fever this morning, he’s been racing round the garden in circles like a mad thing, just for the joy of life.

Joseann Sun 24-Mar-24 10:23:02

I've just made my first batch this morning.

My son and DIL gave my husband and me a restaurant voucher, as thanks for baby-sitting their 9 month old such a lot (although it's always a pleasure to do so)

Met a cousin and spouse to have dinner together and then go to a concert by the choir she sings with. The program included Faure's Requiem, not miserable but uplifting. The concert is held in a local historic abbey and the setting is magnificent.

My son brought me flowers and dropped off my 18 month old grandson for an overnight stay. This afternoon I took the little one to visit his great grandparents who needed cheering up after a death in the family. It was so lovely to see them delighting in him and being distracted from their sadness.

My son and his partner and our grandson visited. We shared Chinese take away with them and chatted. It was nice.

Visited my 97 year old mother with stage 4 cancer. She was so happy to see videos on my phone of her youngest great grandchild. My youngest grandchild. The smiles on her face were really warming.
