For me the sun was shining managed a lovely walk. While walking saw a squirrel and lots of butterflies and birds. Stopped to chat to several people as the sun brought more people outdoors and it felt like spring is finally getting here.

Spent most of the day at my daughter’s house playing with my nearly four year old granddaughter and chatting to my other three older grandchildren. My sister and her husband were tackling the garden (along with sporadic help from said older GC!), hence they needed Nana to amuse the little one! My ex was there assembling the new garden furniture and my son popped over after collecting more gravel for them. My younger daughter was due over to give a hand but couldn’t make it due to her weekend side hustle taking longer than anticipated (she already has a full time job but needs extra to make ends meet). So a bit of a family effort but it was great fun, if a little chaotic!

SisIL took me to a garden centre for tea and cake and on the way back to the car the hail storm stopped and a wonderful rainbow appeared. Against the dark clouds it looked magnificent.

Today my crazy little dog wanting to be fed,
she rarely comes into the bedroom but today I was having a lie in. She came bounding in ran back out and took a running leap to be able to get on the bed then proceeded to start to pester me she started rolling about and biting me in a gentle playful manner and generally making a pest of herself. This little dog was so pleased with herself when I got up running straight to her bowl. Let’s hope she doesn’t think this will be the norm 🤣

My Yorkshire puddings rose beautifully and were delicious - no leftovers after a roast evening meal with DS and family.

Being able to put washing on the line at last

This cheered meep too, two huge loads one coloured one white. All dry and folded by 6pm. The smell is wonderful. Only 2 pairs of trousers to Iron too.

My friend bought me a huge bunch of freshly cut Rhubarb, which I cooked immediately, had half for lunch with a LemonBliss on top, absolutely wonderful.

Caught up with a lot of indoor jobs today, although the sun was shining it was bitterly cold here.

I had a jigsaw given to me for Christmas with a picture of my home town, I dislike jigsaws so my friend offered to do it for me. Today we hang it on my wall, it looks great.

Three things - a new bra that actually fits and is comfortable (miss Mary of Sweden), finding a mouth spray from the chemist which has pretty much cleared my mouth ulcers overnight, and a nasal spray which has dried up my drippy cold overnight. So physically I am in a much happier place.

Please recommend the mouth spray, my mouth is full of ulcers and sore skin, I amusing the gel, but it has not worked like it usually does. They are so painful. Thank you in advance

My lovely grandson and his girlfriend called round and stayed for an hour, he actually lives round the corner and I haven’t seen him for a couple of months. My daughter, (his mum) is single and we cared for him from birth and loved every moment. Of course, I didn’t tell him off for not visiting his nan😀

Had a manicure today. Not had one for years. Bright red polish. I feel like a sex bomb.

Meeting up for coffee with my daughter and her very close friend, who is recovering from breast cancer, after a partial mastectomy. She is an inspiration! Planning to move from her flat in London to the Kent coast and booking holidays with family and friends.
Also, reading all your positive posts.

Listening to The Alternative Shipping Forecast, read by Brian Perkins on YouTube. Had us rolling about with laughter.

Lots to like today. I'm feeling well again and have enjoyed being active. The sun has shone this afternoon although I walked the dog this morning in the rain and wind. However, best of all, I've cleared up an issue with my older daughter, which hopefully will improve our relationship.

I’m relearning how to use a sewing machine after after 50 years. Today I made a viscose dress (very slippery material) and it looks reasonably good. I’m really happy 😊

Chatting with my darling husband over our usual Saturday boiled egg and soldiers breakfast, then later drinking coffee as we did a crossword together and watching a tiny wren having a bath. Small pleasures which are so wonderful ...

Giggling with my daughter who just rang me in absolute stitches. Because she's blind she uses a speech facility called Siri on her phone to send text messages and usually checks them before she sends them because Siri is very sensitive and can pick up other sounds. Today she didn't check and sent a sympathetic text to a friend whose mum is poorly, without realising that it was interwoven with a news report from the BBC, which Siri had picked up from the telly in the background. So the message was complete gobbledygook. Her friend found it hilarious.

An invitation to go for coffee and cake tomorrow morning.

I have 3 things that have brought me cheer today.

1. Being in a shop that I haven't been in for over 7 years, brought lovely memories back.

2. I was in a supermarket ( after the shop ) and in much need for sitting down ... the seat that was for the public to take rest was occupied so I spotted a stack of numerous can of Pepsi and parked my derriere on those, boy ohhhh boy did THAT cheer me up.

3. Being with my grandchildren today and sat sipping coffee with my daughter.

Getting into the garden to pot up some annual plants. So good to see the lovely colours of primroses on the patio.

Unexpectedly meeting ex-colleagues in the M&S Cafe, having coffee and a good catch-up with them.

I went for a shower this am and forgot to shut the dog-gate, so our dog immediately took up residence spread out horizontally across the bed.
What cheered me ip about that?
When DH called out to me in the bathroom, “What’s black and white and spread all over?”

Seeing a younger neighbour going out with a baby strapped to his chest and pulling his two preschoolers in one of those kind of canvas trailers with his right hand and holding a very boisterous dog on a lead in his left hand. Wondering if he will come back in tangles. 🙂

Spring comes early in Britain - but not in my US state - we had an eight inch of snow ❄️ yesterday. While it was pretty and started melting fast, I’d much rather see flowers 🌷 and butterflies 🦋.

Today we have glorious sunshine ☀️, blue skies, and warmer temps to chase away winter.
Every little bit helps!
